a ravens loss means nothing to us... we need to win and the pats need to lose for us to get in.... end of story
Jets lose to Oakland, SF, Seattle and San Diego Miami beats Oakland, SF, Seattle and San Diego Miami beat the Pats as well and in a more convincing fashion. The Jets team that beat those two teams back to back are long gone and have been bad the past month. Another thing going against the Jets this week is the game will likely be moved to 4:00 a time where the Jets haven't won all season. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that)
Not true. Try this out. Yahoo Playoff Scenario Generator If the Ravens lose and the Jets win, the Jets are in as the 6th seed. Unfortunately they would have to play the Patriots in Foxborough.
and this: UP NEXT The Chad Bowl comes with the 10-6 Dolphins traveling to the Meadowlands with playoff berths on the line. If the Jets win and the Patriots lose, the Jets are AFC East champs. If the Jets win and the Ravens lose, the Jets get a wild card. If the Jets lose ? the Favre watch begins. http://www.nypost.com/seven/12212008/sports/jets/jets__between_the_hashmarks_145320.htm
Not true, if we win, the Pats win, and Ravens lose, we would have the tiebreaker over both teams. (Step #1) Head to head over the Phins. Better division record. Jets Division record: 5-1 Dolphins Division record: 4-2 (Step #2) n/a.Tiebreaker #3 belongs to us. We would own a better conference record. Jets Conference record: 8-4 Ravens Conference record: 7-5 Pretty self explanatory. I dont get why all these so called sports networks cant get it right. And by now I think its common knowledge that if we win and the Pats lose, the Division is ours.
The Pats game is still at 1, Ravens game at 4:15. So we'll probably be elminated for the division when we take the field, but still have some false hope for the wild card.
