We need a cornerback that can cover opposite Revis. Ex. '98 Jets Coleman and Glenn. We also need a real saftey not a pretty boy who hits like a bitch ( Rhodes) We need another Victor Green. We also need a lb who can drop back and cover. Our lbs suck. We need another Johnny Abe who can stay healthy. Since our lbs dont put any pressure on the qb, shouldnt we use the cb or saftey blitz more? We couldnt get Wallace today with 5 no name o-line blocking. What a joke.
The problem with getting to the QB isn't about the corners and safeties. It's about the guys up front. Pace has been solid in that role but that's basically it. Jenkins is not a pass rusher (yet often is better at it than the guys who are supposed to be). Barton and Harris have been solid this year but neither are able to get to the QB. And Ellis, Kenyon Coleman, Bryan Thomas, and David Bowens are all garbage.

Rhodes is a pretty boy who wants to play in a tuxedo. Also, another cornerback needs to be drafted early. Maybe use the Vilma pick (3rd round).
Lowery may improve hes had his ups this year. Does Rhodes have the speed and coverage ability to convert to cb?
-personally i think lowery will be ok. ever since we got law we have sucked! -what the hell is with rhodes? he doesnt even stick anybody anymore. -our lb's o suck. harris is good and pace is ok. barton makes tackles but too far down field -abrahams are very hard to come by though. -favre looks very old the last few weeks. -mangini is horrible! out coached every week. -we dont use leon at all. - where was keller today????
Law was horrible today. Why did the Jets sign him again? And Lowery forced both fumbles. It goes to show that you can't win with old washed-up players that don't know when to retire (Favre and Law).

I'm still holding out hope for a 2nd. As for CB, I think Lowery is developing nicely for a 4th-round rookie. I agree that the pass rush is the problem. That could be D coaching, and it could be the the no-show attitude of the likes of Kenyon "Is he still on the team?" Coleman, Bryan "Cactus" Thomas, the "guy playing 'cause Harris is hurt". Dishonorable mention to Drew Coleman, Ty Law, and David Barrett. Elam's game-changing ability keeps him off the list (He was also voted "Nicest Guy" by his teammates).
nah rhodes is a safety plain and simple.but i think he'll be better as lowery gets better i don't think he trusts lowery and gets out of position because of it.
That would just be a very loose bandaid over our lack of pass rush. It could work here and there, but it will break.
