I know I am going to get flack for this however, with the blowout NE is giving Arizona, I am now rooting for the Dolphins. Hear me out... I expect us to win today, with that said, the Jets have let me down a number of times. Given that situation, or even when we win this weekend that puts the division on next week. The Dolphin/Jets game is scaring the crap out of me, but what it boils down to is that I would rather Miami end up with the division in the event of our breakdown than the team that I don't speak of. Anyone else share this view, or am I truly out on my own here in Texas?
I've dealt with NE winning 3 Super Bowls in the last decade. One more PO appearance doesn't mean sh*t to me... Having the ONLY team in the league I dislike more than NE making the POs would be like kicking me when I'm down..

^this is the answer. I'd rather have the team thats owned this division continue to own it rather than the Dolphins coming back from a 1-15 season to win it all, especially after the improvements the Jets have made over the offseason. They do have to beat the Jets to win it all, let's remember that For the Fins to take it all is a story that we will have to hear about for the next 5 to 15 years... you don't want that to happen.
First of, you spoke of the team you don't speak of in the thread title and the first sentence of your post. Secondly, I agree that I want the Fins in the playoffs more than the Pats, but not if it means the Jets not being there. So in this case I have to pull for the Jets. The Fins game scares me too because they are consistent and execute better. If our coaches luckily come up with something that works next week, we can kill them. The problem is that neither the fans, coaches, or players have a clue what the gameplan will be next week....and regardless of the opponent, there should be something prepared that's constant every week and is a little more specific than "try to score more points"
I hate the pats as much as anyone else but I respect the way they took care of business today. We should blow out seattle as bad as they blew out zona. Dolfags have shown they are weak by their play today.
All I meant by this is that of course it would give me the greatest satisfaction beating Miami and taking the division, however, IF that doesn't happen, I would rather them get in than the other option.
I think that has to happen if Miami beats us next week....I am not 100% sure, but I think that if Miami and NE win out, Miami still gets the division...maybe not....but I think so.
