Delta won't let Jets change flight plans BY JIM BAUMBACH | jim.baumbach@newsday.com December 18, 2008 Although Eric Mangini doesn't blame the Jets' 0-3 record on the West Coast this season on their decision to fly ahead on Fridays, the fact is the Jets attempted this week to push back their flight to Seattle until Saturday. You know, just to change things up. But their request was denied, and Mangini didn't care to elaborate yesterday. "Feel free to ask the airline," he said. A spokeswoman for Delta Air Lines, which operates the Jets' charter this season, gave this response: "We worked to accommodate the New York Jets' request, although during this busy travel season our equipment is being fully utilized and last-minute changes to our schedule could impact other passengers' travel plans." So don't think you're the only one who runs into problems trying to change a flight at the last minute, especially around the holidays.
The Jets should be able to afford a new flight and not be worried about the money they spent on the old one if it REALLY mattered.
Seriously, if in the early 70s Led Zeppelin could afford to lease its own 747 for entire tours, certainly Woody can afford to hire one for the weekend. Cheap bastard!:
i thought the airlines were hurting for business yet all their resources are used up and they cant change one flight schedule? i dont really care but it seems odd that they couldn't fit the jets flight into a schedule somewhere on saturday. i mean how much would it really affect the whole day?
Why don't the Jets have their own Jet? I mean really, if you're going to name your franchise the Jets, at least have your own....
they do have their own je but they sent gholsten over to wash it and havent seen either one of them since....
