If the Jets don't win this Sunday it means nothing...

The Jets must take care of business or else we are in for a major let down before Pennington even steps on the field...This game is bigger than the Dolphins game because I personally feel if the Jets win this sunday there is no way Chad beats us at home with it all on the line....jets know chad, and so does the meadowlands winds that I feel hampered him as a Jet....

he is throwing well in a perfect environment for his arm...the meadowlands winds make (edit: made) his arm look weaker than it is (edit: was) because it swirls and pennington has no zip...

but in Miami his passes are a bit quicker and are more spot on....

i worry much more about Seattle than Miami...no insult to Miami as I feel they are a good football team and are clearly better than Seattle...but Seattle has a better chance of beating the Jets...

Could not agree more. If the Jets do not take care of business on Sunday that Phins game could be meaningless.

Jets can lose this week and realistically still make the playoffs with a win against the fins.. if the jets win this week and lose to the dolphins they most likely wont make it..

sorry but the fins game is bigger

the let down does not lie in the dolphins game...

it lies in getting pumped for the dolphins game only to lose to seattle and it mean nothing...

the jets MUST win this weekend...and if they do i have faith they take care of business against miami...we match up perfectly with them

I agree. The Jets obviously have to win this game at Seattle. Lets go Jets. Establish the running game and the quick 3 step drop attack that worked so well against the Pats and Titans.

First you say in your title for your thread: "Forget Jets/Dolphins."

Then you spend most of your post on Chad throwing passes in the Meadowlands.

Can you please make up your mind? Are you worried about something, maybe? And have you been drinking or smoking something, perhaps?

Is Hasselbeck playing this weekend? I'd like to say that Wallace won't beat the Jets, but of course lesser QBs have been lighting their secondary up this season. Still.....Hasselbeck is a good QB who is ALWAYS up for beating Favre.

Regardless of the scenario surrounding the final game of the year.....I just don't feel the Dolphins can win that game. Too much on the line for the Jets to have a letdown.

if Baltimore loses to Dallas the only game we need to win to make the playoffs, as a worst case 6 seed, would be Miami. The Dolphin game is a win or go home....the Seattle game we will know what it is Saturday night.

another question -- if we get the three seed who would you rather face at home - Baltimore, NE, or Phins again

Patriots. Their defense is by far the worst of the three. We'll be able to score on them. I'd hate to have to beat the Dolphins a 3rd time. Not an easy task. And the Ravens have an offensive D. That could spell big trouble.

Baltimore would be the worst case scenario because of that defense......the Pats D is banged up and we should be able to run on hem but Cassel makes me nervous with his running -- of course David Harris back helps in the middle...guy is a tackling monster

Might not be, there are a lot of playoff scenarios where the Jets could still slide in without the win. Um... Maybe you haven't been down this road before?

I feel we need to win out to go anywhere in the playoffs. The players need some confidense. If we don't win out and still make the playoffs I think we're 1 and done imo.

Well yes, I suppose if you believe a win this week "guarantees" a win next week, then I suppose you feel that way. Seems a silly thing to say to me, but ... whatever.

By the way, since you do feel that way, if the Jets do win Sunday, you want ot put up some money on this? Since you are so sure of this, I assume you'd take million to one odds? Jets win I give you a buck, Phins win you give me a million?

I want the Jets to win as much as the next guy, but even I have my price :)
??? By my recollection, Favre and the packers have OWNED Seattle since Hasselbeck went there. I think they have only won 1 of 5 games or something like that, including losing both playoff matchups? (jusrt pulling it from memory, may not be 1-4 exactly, but it's close, and I'm sure of the 2 playoff losses and at least one other).

I think it's the other way around, Favre4Ever.

All you can hope is that those 7 players who made the pro bowl are shamed into playing the games of their lives over the next two weeks. They should be pumped and they should be able to pump up the others. I also hope Favre audibles all game long into the plays he wants to run and not count on the morons to screw it up once again. What are they going to do, bench him?
