    Sorry if already posted:

    From Yahoo:

    Insiders Insights
The Saints hope to address major needs on the first day with three selections. They will entertain all trades to move back from the No. 2 overall spot ? with offers already from the Jets and Broncos. They each have two first-round picks. Look for multiple picks on defense where they have key needs: Middle linebacker, cornerback and tackle. They want to add a tough linebacker with the ability to be an every-down defender and have A.J. Hawk on their first-round list. They may look for an interior offensive lineman early in addition to selecting Ferguson at the No. 2 spot. The Saints like tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Joe Klopfenstein for selection in the early third round.

Well if it is for a QB, you will be done so have fun rooting for whomever you decide on...

I am not suprised we have contacted the Saints about the pick, but I have a feeling the Jets were just checking under every stone to see what they were looking for, for that #2 pick.

    Who Knows?

But I think it would be a mistake to trade up. We have too many holes. If anything we should trade down for more picks.

Would be a stupid move. We should not be trading up for a QB. If we were to trade up at all, we should move to #1. But I prefer us to move down.

We probably asked the Saints what it would take to move up to 2 and when they told us, Tangini said, "We'll let you know on draft day."

See, it's a tough predicament. IF we want Leinart, we can stay at 4 and PRAY he falls, and save our later round picks, or we can move up to grab him or Bush or whoever we want, but sacrifice more picks. It's a Catch 22.

I don't like stories where they say the Jets and Broncos made an offer, but do not cite a source for that information. Even if it's the old anonymous source, Frank Coyle should at least say where he heard this.

It's the first time I've read that an offer was made by the Jets. How does Frank Coyle get the scoop and not a Pasquerelli, Mort or Peter King?

Yea it really would be a great situation if you did that trade.

    Saints could get A.J Hawk

New York Jets could get Matt Lienart, possibly reggie bush, Mario Williams, Vince Young, or D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

I think that we have to stick at four and take what falls to us. Unless its a QB and we can entice the Raiders or Lions into trading up.

Maybe the Jets, and the Broncos for that matter low-balled the Saints with their "supposed" offers.

If we trade up it's definitely for Leinart. If we wanted Ferg/Williams/Young we would stay put at 4. Ferg is the only one going to be gone barring trade so we'd have our choice at Mario or Young.

Why would we need to go to #1 when the guy we would be targeting will be available at #2??

The great thing is if we draft a crap player and pay them too much we know the Washington Forskins will take them off our hands for double what we are paying them. Thank God for Daniel Snyder. Meanwhile we get players they don't know how to develop for a pack of twinkies and a coke.
