And a personal note to the GB fans/new Jet fans posting here - as far as I am concerned you should feel welcome here, but of course you are probably sensing the existence of a schism in the Jet fanbase. Your presence here places you precisely in the limelight shining on that schism, which you may not have anticipated in coming here. But there it is, and of course that does not mean you are not welcome here, at least according I think it fair to say to most of us.
Your right its not favres fault. I blame all the wideouts and only having 3 months with the team for favres lack of chemistry.
yea in all honesty im sure he can. but you can't even compare his arm strength to favre's 5 years ago or even now.
Please watch his interview from today. You can find it on newyorkjets.com. He specifically addresses this question.
There's a big difference in both the accuracy and velocity behind Favre's throws from the beginning of the season to now. I'm convinced that Favre's arm/shoulder is significantly damaged and has been for a while now. I don't remember which game it was this year but I recall his arm being hit while attempting a deep pass. He has not been the same since.
I agree. I think they've been covering up the injury and we won't know about it until the season is over.
Let me phrase it a different way, how do you know that any chemistry problem exists solely with Favre and has nothing to do with the wideouts? Besides your simplistic answer that you gave above?
I didn't say it would have nothing to do with the wideouts. But WRs dont throw the ball. They dont handle the ball every single play. They can only work with what the QB gives them. At the very least the onus should be on the QB to pull these guys aside and work with them to fix any chemistry problems. And that should have been done already. We should be fine tuning at this point. Maybe if you would have read my earlier post instead of quoting a response to it you would better understand.
Yes, exactly. It was the 5th game, against the Bengals. Here is a thread where I bring up that Ron Jaworski is also convinced of it, FYI. Exactly, again. Thank you. Although be careful. per ouchy we're not allowed to talk about anything that any player has done if he was not wearing a jets uniform at the time, no matter how relevant to understanding that player's abilities it may be. He knows because he's ouchy. ouchy just knows these things. You need to take it on faith, and not ask why.
But in the post I quoted, you basically explained what that post you just quoted means: I am just pointing out to him that if we do - its the QBs fault not the recievers fault. See? This is how contradictions go. I didn't say it would have nothing to do with the wideouts. - The Statement Like GBA said, quit blaming other positions for favres mistakes. - Contradiction 1 I am just pointing out to him that if we do - its the QBs fault not the recievers fault. - Contradiction 2
