With a chance to go 5-1 in the AFC East with a win against Penington & the Dolphins...5-1 out of the AFC East? Thats signs of a team that can go pretty far in the playoffs. The road to the playoffs is through your divison and the Jets have made a mark here in 08. Thats for sure, but yet...Experts talk about how the Jets own the tie-breakers over NE and Miamia but they fail to explain how the Jets earned that right.

    Win @ Buffalo...
    Win vs Buffalo
    Win @ Miami
    Win vs NE

With our only loss being against the Patriots and I cant remember but I believe it was on the road in NE right?

    4-12 last year...

    9-5 here in 2008

As long as the Jets can take care of Seattle, on the west coast, against a Seahawks team with Seneca Wallace...We will actually have the 3rd seed behind Tennesee and Pittsburg heading into the last game of the season with a chance to finish off 11-5 with a sweep of the Dolphins... Thats exciting, Jets football is here in Decemeber and Brett Favre is ready for another playoff push.

All I can say is this...I'm pumped up...I been calling playoffs since preseason... I have really believed in this Jets team and come playoff time...Favre, Thomas Jones and this Jets defense can put something special together, I just feel it.

Lets go run Seattle out of their own house...Lets get this W this Sunday and focus on the game against Miami...The EAST and a 3rd seed in the playoffs will BE ON THE LINE...

TBJF.............I appeciate your comments about the AFCE and the Jet's success. But what bothers me to no end, is not beating Teams like...... Oakland, SF, Denver at home!! The Jet's need to start playing like we were over a month ago, or it's going to be a short ride.

Well, on the bright side if the Jets win the division there is no scenario in which they have to play a playoff game on the West Coast so that basically removes their biggest potential Achille's heel going into the post-season. They probably will have to play a game in Pittsburgh though and that's going to be a challenge.

Granted we are an improved football team and we do have a very good record within our division, but like it was stated by one other person we need to beat the teams we are supposed to beat.(Oakland, Denver, San Francisco) I say we go in and beat Seahawks and finish off the season at home beating the Dolphins. But just think if we had beaten those teams I just mentioned, first round bye and home field throughout playoffs. That sounds pretty good to me.

I realize the numbers don't lie. I have been on both sides of the spectrum this year with our team like most (darkside, sunshine)... But it is just too damn hard to believe in this team after the past 3 weeks. They are playing like hot, flaming, freshly-collected garbage!! Mangini/Sutton is not shoring up the D. The run D has all of a sudden dissappeared, and the passrush which was getting it done the first half of the year is completely gone. I don't know how it happened, but it's like the league figured out EM's 3-4 defense in half a season.

Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are saving this team by themselves. They are the only positive.

3rd and 15 doesn't even happen without that miraculous TD toss to Randy Moss....Good play though.

I'm not discrediting the play, but in my opinion the jets would of melted down if they didn't make that .. If the Pats don't make the playoffs I will always revert to that play for the reason .. As far as the Moss play...cmon.. that is not the first freak catch you have seen from Moss..

So that bullet to Keller was the first great throw you've ever seen from Favre?

In my opinion the Pats would have lost if Moss doesn't make that play.

Yeah, and if we had lost the coin toss, the Pats have a better chance to win, and if the Jets had converted a 1st down with a little more than 2 minutes left in regulation, 3rd and 15 would not have occurred. What-if arguments are weak.

Yeah ... What's that got to do with the price of tea in china? We both know the 3rd and 15 was the biggest play of of the game ..

So what? If Rich Gannon's arm moves a bit faster on a certain big play in the playoffs in 2002, the Pats never get to the Super Bowl to beat the Rams. What-if arguments are for pussies.
