I am not carrying a torch for chad? I am saying we should consider starting a QB that could give us a better chance to win. Because Favre is even worse then Chad.

I have no faith left in Favre in crunch time. A younger guy could be a disaster or it could breath new life into our passing game. Personally, I am willing to at least take that chance. Something needs to be shaken up.

You made make a great HC (hahaha). No team in it's right mind, or left for that matter, would risk a QB change with 2 games to go in the season and the division on the line. Favre makes bad decisions. He has bad seasons. He has also put up great #'s in a lot of seasons. We took a chance on him thinking he could take us to that next level. He has shown the flash from the past on occasion, and the shitty Brett on occasion. We are going to have to ride it out with him and hope he shows us the winning ways of his past. If he doesn't, hopefully he retires again.

Soooo. We should bench Favre and start a guy who had some good preseason games at this critical juncture? A guy who has been QBing the freaking SHOW TEAM? Are you serious?

And yes, no matter how you deny it, it is pathetically obvious that you carry a torch for Chad.

Wow ouchy..It looks like you dont watch the Jets play defense when your figuring (wrongly) what might spark the offense. Like maybe some 3 and outs?

if Ratliff really impressed the coaches, he would be our 2nd string QB instead of being inactive every week. But seriously guys, let's wait until the end of the season before we bash/praise Favre. Chad vs. Favre will happen in just 2 weeks!

Brett Favre will be a good move if..
-The Jets can take care of the Phins and Chad in week 17
    -The Jets make the playoffs

Brett Favre will be a great move if...
-The Jets win a playoff game
    -The Jets win the Superbowl

Getting rid of Chad would be a bad move if..
-The Dolphins beat the Jets in week 17 and end our playoff hopes
-The Dolphins win playoff games with Chad
-The Dolphins, god forbid, win the Super Bowl with Chad

Let's just wait and see. There is still some very important football left in the season. Let's see what each QB can do when the games matter the most

You mean like the 3 and out on the last two drives against the Bills yesterday?

Or the 3 and out on our last chance against NE in week 2.

Or how about the 3 and outs (and 4 and outs) in the 4th quarter against the 49ers. Or against the Broncos 3 weeks ago.

Or maybe the 3 and outs in OT against the raiders.

You sir are correct. Changing now might result in a lot of crucial 3 and outs - and that would be a drastic change.

Last time I looked, the Jets beat the Dolphins in their first game this season. Penny had the game losing interception. I don't think Penny could have led us to victories against New England or Tennessee. Penny is just keeping the seat warm for Chad Henne. I wouldn't be surprised if Penny has a better game against the Jets D next time than he did the last time, but Henne with 16 games played would be just as effective against our D. Penny never would have won a Super Bowl for us, so it was time to move on. It was worth a shot with Favre whether it turns out or not.

We had the ball for only 20 mins against SF and the D got spanked vs Denver and pushed around by the Bills. We won on a lucky bounce..but i will take it. Point is ,Favre is not our problem, he has played well and BTW I tend to think INT's is a bit overated as a stat. Fact is we are 9-5 and would not be with CP. I did like Chad and think he is a good QB, but now he is the enemy. Get with it!

Yeah Chad has more 20+ yard passes this year then him and Eli Manning.

i am a Phin fan and I wouldn't go that far, even if the Dolphins win in week 17. Favre's been about what could have been expected, maybe a little worse, but Pennington's been much, much better than any but the most optimistic fan could have hoped. Just the fact that he's gotten through 14 games without getting hurt is pretty surprising. The Jets' brain trust can be excused for not betting on Chad.

I think they can be blamed for having some sort of plan to trade Pennington if they got Favre. Instead they cut him and he went to a divisional rival. But a lot of Jets fans here have pointed that out, so I won't belabor it.

That play was fun to watch. It fooled the entire bills defense. I never thought I would see Favre run that far the rest of his career. Jetsfanmack is right anybody else on the roster scores on that play. It was remenisent of Elams 98 yrd pick six but he had just enough left in the tank to make it to pay dirt.

Yes ouchy does. His arguments are weak as shit and as abyzmul pointed out he just eliminates certain games to try and help his argument which is stupid on many levels. I think bwb is right he doesn't know football just how to read stats off websites.

I think it is great the way things worked out, and one of the biggest games for both teams will be the last of the regular season.
