I noticed he wasnt playing in the last few plays, especially that horrendous run by the Bills rb for the td when he dragged 4 of our guys with him.Downright embarassing. Please post any news anyone might have.
He has a hip thing, but he has not been the MVP he was a few weeks ago. I think that he is wearing down. He only needs to be strong for one more month. Hopefully he's healing up.
i think he might be nicked up, but he doesnt play a lot of the passing downs anyway. didnt he tweak his ankel a few weeks ago?
ya since he has been hurt he has been less than impressive. with our pass D sucking we don't need our run D to do that now too, but nonetheless that is inevitable.
hopefully we can kill seattle next week so we can sit him for the tough day were gonna have against ronnie brown and chad. that will be a fun game to watch
i dont know....Jenkins hips didn't seem to bother him while he was dancing around during pre-game warmups. this is just my observation from the upper mezzanine.
it may be something that gets him over time of the game. he is a big man and will get tired toward the end of the game. especially when they run all over you like that.
It's no mystery that Jenkins is injured. He came in today on 'important' downs and was limited in terms of his plays. He also didn't appear to have that same push he was getting earlier in the season. The Jets are a completely different team when this guy is healthy. If that was the case, we never lose to the 49er's, and we'd be clinching a playoff spot with a win over the Seahawks. But for the most part, we have avoided major injuries (spare Harris who is another story) and you must accept that as part of playing Football.
He's playing the position wrong. His job is to be patient and cover both gaps. Instead he tries to push the center back and once his momentum is going forward the center just pushes him out of the play. Teams are blocking him to the side rather then trying to push him back. He's killing the run defense by doing this. He needs to maintain his gaps.
What's especially troubling about today's game is that our Run 'D' has started to suck as bad as our Pass 'D'. I agree, Jenkins has not made many plays over the last 3 weeks.
I wonder if our run D and Jenkins has been exposed? I could understand he had an off game against Denver but for the last 2 weeks including today he hasn't been the Jenkins we knew before the Denver game
"What's especially troubling about today's game is that our Run 'D' has started to suck as bad as our Pass 'D'. I agree, Jenkins has not made many plays over the last 3 weeks." thats true, what about that td. that guy should have been stopped at least the goalline, instead of 1 yard deep in the endzone
I think hes a lot more injured than we think. I also think this has been hampering him since the broncos game. explains our lack of run defense. I think we should bench him against the seahawks and let him heal. Its a huge risk but if hes not healthy we arent going anywhere anyway
