I'm sure if Clowney was any good he would be playing.

Clowney is not the answer. The answer lies in the pass defense. Ty Law is not that answer. Dwight Lowery is not that answer. Drew Coleman should never be considered the answer. Where is the answer?

Clowney will not cure all of our problems, but right now none of our receivers can beat the men covering them on deep routes. We're not talking about him taking on a major role, but in limited action he could add a new dimension to the offense.

We couldn't get buy a first down on third down, and we couldn't stop SF on third down. We played horribly. Clowney isn't going to change this team much, for the good or the bad

I wouldn't mind seeing Clowney dress for a game and seeing what he can do. Favre had one long play against the fish opening game, don't remember any going to the house since then.

Wow, things have gotten so bad that we're looking at Clowney as being the savior?

    Jesus, we suck.

nobody would claim clowney to be our savior, however it is painfully obvious that our wide receivers are slow as molasses. clowney, on the other hand, is a speed demon! why not give the guy a shot? he would undoubtedly add a much needed speed dimension to a tired, slow, plodding, boring passing offense.

Didn't Cotchery get up and run down a corner with a 15 yard handicap after Favre got picked a few weeks back? He looked pretty quick to me.

I don't remember if he ever got in the game.

And I was sitting in the stands.

It's just not that they are slow...but the OC doesn't set them up for success.

I remember one slant called today.

The Niners secondary is not that fast and yet the Jets WRs made them look like five Deion Sanders'.

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in Cotchery. I thouight he would break out with the addition of Brett, but he's gone backward.

Also..I'm sorry Brad Smith got hurt, but frankly he has no business on the field.

Everyone in the room's face went :eek:hmy: when Clowney bent over backwards on that hit and stayed that way for a few seconds. I personally turned away twice as I tried to imagine the pain - or complete numbness - that he was feeling. I knew what was going through his head when he popped right up and tried jogging and a complete non-straight line to our sideline before he realized he couldn't make it -- "I need help, go to help...trainers will help...just get there...can't get there...goin down".

Then when the 49ers scored again to make it a 2 score game, we all started getting :drunk:. Goodbye $$. I will never bet on the Jets again. I even had them at +3 1/2. It sounded all too good to pass on.

I agree with u but we could rock with clowney since he does have great speed and the ability to go for 6 anywhere on the field. An im aware he was great in pre-season and in know way does that mean he will do good in the actual game but he does have the breakaway speed. Get em in there and let him try. Coles is doing absolutely nothing , his feet are in cement and Cotch is a good solid receiver but he doesn't have the speed to be a deep threat and where all aware of that by now.

why do you say that? Bryan thomas has had a job for years and he stinks--the jets played Dslob for 5 years before admitting their error--just because a guy is or is not playing for the jets doesn't mean they are doing the right thing.
