all his long throws seem to be short... Just sayin' maybe he's hurt or is just , like his jeans, washed up
Boy the majority of you here were all pumped about Brett as little as a few weeks ago. Now when the team is loosing you all turn like a bunch of rabid dogs. I imagine it's #4's fault that the defense and the coaching staff ABSOLUTELY SUCK. Some of you doubters really need to pull your head out of your ass and wake up. Funny how nobody wants to bring up things like Coles giving up on routes,or other receivers dropping passes. Nope it's much easier to blame the QB you all were so much higher on a few weeks ago.
I agree, and (like many others) noted this well before this week. I don't think he's thrown a pass down the sideline more than 25-30 yards in the air that wasn't underthrown since the first week.
Another Fvare lover not blaming Brett for anything, shocking! It's not all Fvare's fault, he is part of the problem right now. The O and D are equally killing us.
Ellis had the whole f*ckin' defense stoned out there today. Passing blunts and packin' bowls in between drives.
You say the defense and the coaches "ABSOLUTELY SUCK" and you're calling other people doubters? Is this a Jets board or a Favre board? He was playing better a few weeks ago. Last couple of weeks, he's been bad.
I'm officially sick of these Packers fans. Favre has been terrible and needs to play better if Jets are going to have any chance to win division.
i dont know how you could blame this on favre, granted he didnt have a good game but....NOBODY DID. pathetic team effort all around. I am disgusted.
It seems to me that we only throw deep when we want to turn the ball over or we are hoping for a PI call. The latter rarely happens. I will give credit to the CS in noticing that if given the option of throwing deep along the sidelines or in the middle, they seem to realize that throwing down the middle although no longer garnishing neither completion NOR penalty, it also don't set the opponent up on our own 45. Not sure the verbiage made sense on that but the debacle has angered me.
Here is the problem Jets fans... Coles and Cotchery are shit. Coles loses every single battle for a jump ball. Cotchery gives up on plays almost every game like he did early today on a deep pass. Keller is going to be a good one but his drop on 3rd down on the first drive was big. That failed conversion was followed by another when Jones was stuffed on 3rd and 1, which was followed by another failed 3rd .when the receiver was stopped a foot short. 3 straight failed 3rd and shorts to start the game combined with a non-existent defense.
Yes he can still throw great short passes. Its clear that Favre cannot throw very well beyond 10 yards. It has nothing to do with receivers not getting open. His throws are not ever close when they are covered. It has to do with the throws and the decision making. Favre is a one demonsional QB that resorts to "chucking" when he has to go deep.
I agree. While they're not "shit", they're not number 1 WR's. We don't have a #1 and it shows....badly. We also can't defend the pass. Teams will just continue to throw on us until we prove we can stop it. 3 man rushes are painful to watch. Almost as bad as a the disgusting amount of screens we throw.
Hmmmmm I wonder if the factn you joined this board the same month the Jets acquired has anything Get the blinders off Brett is doing nothing to help this team. It is surely not entirely on him, the coaching is plain pathetic, but he isnt doing jack shit either. Perhaps he could throw a deep ball well once and coles or coth will come down with it.
he threw TWO nices ones today and Cotch didn't come down with either. and coles has proven weekly this year that he can't catch a jump ball for shit. favre did underthrow coles on the INT but i have no confidence in coles to catch any deep ball with a defender within a yard of him, which he was on that play. there's a lot of blame that can be put on favre, but even when he does throw a catchable one up the guys don't come down with them.
I don't think either of your posts require my response, but what the hell. You are making my point for me. It seems everyone on this board, except the packer fans, is frustrated with Favre's deepball. A good deepball hits a runner in stride and I have not seen one of those from Brett in a long time. He is leaving the deep balls short and forcing Coles and Cotch to make rediculously tough catches with corners and safetys all over them. If Favre was leading his recievers Coles and Cotch would be coming down with them.
