About over looking Favres mistakes, the last game is a good example. Everyone says that the fumble was the turning point. Yet it was 14-14 not long after that. How is that a game changing play if you over come it? The play we didn't overcome was when we were losing 17-14 and favre threw deep to Coles and it sailed a good 10 feet over his head.. The broncos went on to take a 24-14 lead and never looked back. But somehow that wasn't the game changing play?
Yeah that turnover was big for Denver. We were driving and had all the momentum with Jones two big runs and Leon's nice return. The two turnover on downs and not being able to score a TD after Lowery's pick when we had 1st and Goal also hurt. We just had a bad game overall. But as bad as we played, if a few breaks came our way we probably win that game. Let's see how we rebound against a 4-8 SF team that is playing some good football right now
It's hilarious to me that our offense is currently ranked #1 in the AFC in points per game, but Firemangini_Ed believes we're losing because our QB & offense is not scoring enough points!!! That's why we're not winning enough games?! It's difficult getting some people here to pay any attention to what happens (or doesn't happen) when we don't have the ball ...
We are #1 in scoring, that doesn't mean our O is #1 as we have scored 35 points on D/STs while the O has given up 35 points on INTs/fumbles. That's a 70 point swing. We are WINNING, 1 loss in 6 games is a good job. We are winning b/c the O has been clicking, the D has played well for the most part and the STs have played well.
Good point about the 70 point swing. However, wouldn't every team in the NFL have some sort of point swing? i would guess ours might be a little higher than average, but i would guess most teams are around a 50 or so point swing
I'm sure every team would have a swing but 70 is alot. I'd like to see the average, if I get some time maybe I'll do it.
I can't understand why Favre had to play so well in the first half against the Titans. That cost the team a second half comeback against an undefeated team.
Yeah, because Brett's mobility is why the packers were not 16-0, instead of 12-4 last season. His mobility is also the reason the packers couldn't even get to the NFC Championship game (obvious sarcasm). Mobility isn't holding anything back. Hell, where the heck is Peyton Manning's Mobility? What about Tom Brady? Two of the best in the league, they are captains of standing tall and not moving. Favre moves. Just because you don't see him running in circles for his life has little to do with anything. It's play call. The calls have been short passes, rarely anything deep. As for no 4th Quarter Comebacks: Guess what: The FG in regulation to send it to to OT against oakland is considered a comeback. We were losing, and he tied the game forcing OT. That is a comeback. Not all comebacks end in victories. NE and KC were both tied games, but tell me he was not absolute money in those games when the ball was in his hands with the game on the line. As for the first NE game: 3 straight runs inside the 5? Oh, let snot count that the ball was taken out of his hands in the redzone. Gosh. Imagin, 14 - 19 going into the 4th instead of 10 - 19. Whole new ball game. One thing no one can really say is Favre can't get it done in hte 4th anymore. The guy has just been money in the 4th all season long. Long drive after long drive when needed, marching down the field when needed. Hell, even last game, two no huddle drives beautifully put together that got interrupted by "injuries". What did those "injuries" allow? The momentum to stop,a nd the playcalling to go back tot he coaches. One must realize 2 minute drives are almost exclusivly play calls by the QB. And, favre had it rolling to two straight drives. Thanks denver, and your fake injuries. Still, look at it for what it is: Your just proving to be a bandwagon fan. I'm sure the last two weeks you were singing his praises, and how he is the difference maker for this team: One poor game later, and he is what is holding us back. Heck, you know your off kilter when NYJunc wont even side with you in this. Even he admits favre has played too well in general as of late to really start any sort of bashing at this point. It was a bad game,a nd everyone has them. In fact, one could say TJ might have been the sole player on the roster (maybe lowrey too) that didn't have a bad day. Kris Jenkins got handled, and our DB's got burned, LB's couldn't tackles, WR's and RB's dropping passes, etc. Just a poort day for everyone in general, not just #4. To me, it was just a reality check for the jets. They came in thinking their shit didn't stink. Well guess what Jets: Your not the 16 NE patriots of last season, there is no coasting.
wow it only took like 5 pages for this to turn into chad vs favre. seriously people, f chad, hes not our qb so who gives a shit about noodle arm? favre has been inconsistent with a new offense with average wr's we should cut him. jones is a bum because he isnt leading the nfl in rushing just the afc. brick is a bust. lets move on now.
