The only bright part of the game in my opinion was everyone cheering and going crazy for leon. Yelling Leon leon leon leon. being in that stadium i though that was awesome. Im sure he felt the same way, unfortunately he didnt return the kick for shit.

The sad part is he touched the ball very little in that game. When he did, he made a big play. Our RBs are the most dangerous weapon not named Favre.

San Fran is going to get a fucking beating.

yup. we need more screens and short passes designed for them. they're much more dangerous than any of our other receivers.

They defenitley need to use him more on screens, the only time the jets moved the ball well was when they did like back to back to back passes to him hes so explosive, I see him in the future making a big play for us on special teams.

If I were playing us, I'd be more scared of Leon than I would be of Favre.

When we get in a funk offensively we should give Leon the ball. He seems to just get shit going for us, total sparkplug. He gave us life vs Denver. I'd say both our backs can be relied on.

Little guy is a true player.

But is he a featured Back? TJ is 30 and has about 2000 carries, I expect this year to be his last at top of his game, before his body start wearing down. So we gotta think about what?s after him.

The way he?s playing lately, he really looks like the next Westbrook. I also think he worked a lot on his game lately, he?s hitting holes much harder and started pounding people instead of always trying to make another cut. Mabybe we could bring in a big guy, to build a nice RBBC, Michael Bush anyone?

Yes, we need to throw more screen passes to Leon Washington. Good thing we got rid of Pennington and his dink and dunk offense. You just can't win with that.

    1. We still run the same Offense.

    2. calling for the screen is easy, but if you think about what the screen actually is, it becomes obvious, why we?re not using it that much. The screen is a missdirection play, fake a long Pass and then dump it. We rarely throw long passes, that?s the reason we don?t throw a lot of screens. That would be like running PA all day long, when your runninggame sucks.

actually i think with this o line tj has another 2 good years in him after this one, hes on pace for this to be his career year since hes been in the league. i do not expect him to drop off next year. although they'll be tj is a bum thread put up cause he doesnt rush for 100 yrds in pre season.

I?m just saying, we should think about it, if TJ has another two years left, we?ll have our own Earth, Wind and Fire for the next 2 years, if we bring in another guy this offseas. But 30 is old for a RB, very very few can stay on top of their game after passing that mark.

i agree with you, and if we can get a quality back in the later rounds in the draft great or steal one from another team whos better and younger than tj im all for it, but i think we need to fix our secondary and find a qb of the future first. maybe that qb is ratliff, who knows, but im not getting my hope up on a qb who burned 3rd string defenses.

Jones has been in the league 9 years but the first 4 seasons he didn't go over 140 carries in any season. With Leon around to spell him I don't see any reason he couldn't be around producing for another 3-4 seasons.

    Poll:

When the jets broke loose for their first long TD run, were you surprised to see it was Thomas and not Leon? I was! I was like Wow! Leon changed his number to 20!

I?m with you there, RB is not on top of the list, but we should defninitly do something there. I?m looking at Michael Bush, he would be the perfect accomplishment for TJ and Leon. The Raiders (idiot) CS thinks he?s a FB, he thinks he?s a RB, he will probably be on the Block this offseason.

He had a full workload the last 5 seasons. I?m not saying he?s done, but relying on a 31 yo RB to carry the load is too dangerous.

Yea and got to be impressed by our Big O-Line running out and blocking like wilderbeast for Leon multiple times. Mainly Faneca and Mangold and D'Brick here and there.
