Well , im gonna be at the game, so its possible. Anyway, laugh if you want, but it is my first game ever. Not living in NY i dont get many chances to see my team play, so this is the first time I see the Jets live. I hope they whoop the shit out of them.
SF's offense is below average but they give the ball away like candy at Halloween. They have a defense that is average against the run but looks much like ours against the pass. I've consistently ranked them in the bottom third of the league each week. I think they are bad. The advantage(s?) they have this week are that we are on the road. They seem to be more motivated now than earlier in the season and they have been improving slightly week by week. This is certainly a game that the Jets should win.
I think this season has proven we can beat any team and can lose to any team. We haven't been very good in West Coast games and Hill can make plays if you don't pressure him. We are the better team, but they have enough playmakers to beat us if we give them our C game or below.
If the Jets win by fewer than 21 points, I will be furious. This is the 3rd, maybe 4th, worst team in the NFL.
What I would like to see the Jets do is run the ball and use the two step drop and throw with Favre that they used against the Pats and Titans. Maybe its because I have season tickets and was at the game yesterday and couldnt tell but it didnt seem to me that the Jets used that style of play as much as they had in the two previous weeks. The weather may have played a factor in that but idk. Anyway what they need to do is establish a strong running game. Control the time of posession. Then on Defense they need to get to Hill. He gets sacked a lot and with pressure and sacks he will make mistakes.
If I were you, I'd set up some nerf furniture near your TV and have some JD ready. The Jets ain't beating SF by that much. We'll be lucky to win that game at all.
If they lose this game, imo, they don't DESERVE to make the playoffs. But relax people, the Jets are beating the 49ers. Book it.
Well I was one thinking and saying that the Jets would go undefeated starting with the Denver game. Obviously WRONG! Still I'd be very surprised if they can't win the next four games and get at least the no. 3 seed. SF can be a close game too but they should win like Tenn. did against the Lions. Coming off an embarrassing loss usually makes a good team play to prove something.
Well, I for one think the Jets are going to kick butt Sunday. Maybe not by 21+ points but just a physical butt-kicking. I say a 10-14 point victory and a dominating performance by the O-Line. Oh and the Dolphins are not very good, they are squeaking by these loser teams and the injuries are adding up. They are NOT winning Week 17 and will probably lose before then. The Jets are taking the AFC East, the only question is the #2 seed or the #3 seed.....
An issue for the rest of the games is teams adjusting to the fact that the Jets have no deep passing game. When that was an unknown it was different, but by now teams have to know that the CS is committed to short passing and we have Mr. Magoo at QB.
