With so many disappointments as a Jet Fan, it's hard to get excited, but damn, I'm excited after beating the Titans

    I agree

And I do believe it. The Titans didn't impress me all that much. Another thing that I thought was a bad thing for them was that they didn't accept the loss to well. A lot of the players still claiming they were the better team. Not a good thing for a team that was beat in all phases of the game.

Detroit is going to win a game this year. This is the perfect time to upset a team off a major loss, at home on Thanksgiving day. Certainly won't bet the money line on the game, but I think the Lions have a chance

I just don't see it. Detroit is AWFUL. Dan Orlovsky running out the back of the endzone against Minnesota epitomizes this team. I can't see them winning one game. I will be rooting for them Thursday and I hope you're right, but they are so bad.

Steelers will beat Patriots, if Matt Light gets suspended for that game.

If Matt doesn't get suspended for that game, Pats will win a close one.

The NFL season is really a 17 week playoff

Jets can ill afford to lose another AFC game NFC loss is acceptable.
It's not fair, but all jets fan, yes even us bandwagoners, should be rooting for NE to beat PITT and Jets take care of East (3-2 at worst). Jets need PITT to get hung with 3 MORE AFC losses. I do not see PITT losing to Cleveland. Anything is possible I gues in division play. I can only see 1 more Indy AFC loss, possibly 2. If rooting for PATS is unstomachable, then Other scenario: PITT beats NE then, Loses to BALT , DAL and Titans. But then Jets need to be 4-1 in next 5 (very possible). Jets need to root for Titans to win out beating INDY (6-2 in AFC, 7-4 Overall) and PITT, Denver is a playoff game 3rd one in 3 weeks- thats seasoning. The loss to OAK is bad, the loss to SD is worse. Both PITT (11-10 sheesh) and IND hv beaten SD. Jets need to be 4-1 with (0) AFC losses to win breakers vs INDY- if INDY wins out which is very possible. That is the bottom line to take out of hands of other teams. 5-0 Jets more than likely gets the #1 seed if titans lose 2.

Why, why, why do Jets fan keep losing faith in this team?

As I have been saying most of this past year (once he Jets signed Favre), the sky is the limit. I would be surprised if the Jets do not make the championship game.

Then again... Well, you know the rest. I am a Jets fan!

My heart says yes. Not losing faith just posing a question.

Even if we finish 3-2, I think we get the bye. I just don't see the Steelers finishing better than 2-3 given their schedule. New England will probably finish 3-2 and we win the tie break.

4-1 gives us the bye for certain.

Sorry, I can't root for Bill Bellicheat. Even before becoming a Jets fan, I always hated the Patriots. You've got a coach won't shake hands, doesn't lose gracefully, and films the other team's practices.. and a QB (injured) who leaves his pregnant girlfriend before she even has the baby.

Besides, I'd rather us not get the bye than be in a situation in week 17 where we're a game behind the Patriots and the Dolphins game is a must win. I'd rather us get beat out in the first week of the playoffs (knock on wood) than to lose the division to the Patriots.

If we both go 3-2, they'll be no tie to break with New England. We'll be 11-5, they'll be 10-6.

I can see the points about the cheats.

However, we have to beat the fish in week 17 or the season will have an empty ring to it. Even 18 wins would not make up for the hole caused by that loss.

I worry about just making the playoffs first.
