After beating the Titans pretty easily today, I think we should get some consideration for the best team in the conference (we should be 9-2 if we only won that stupid raider game). The Steelers are also 8-3 but I think we can take them if we played this season. Thoughts?

I'm not ready to write off the Titans yet, but the gap has certainly closed.

I'll write them off for both of us.

You have my vote on that. Again, look who they've played before us. NO ONE, the JETS couldn't stomp into the ground.

Colts, Ravens, Vikings, Jacksonville, Chiefs, ETc...etc...

    The Titans were exposed today.

I still think the Steelers are slightly the best team, but we're an extremely close second.

Steelers play the Pats next week and then play the Titans a few weeks later. Those games are good for us no matter who wins them.

The Steelers have a terrible offensive line. Once they start playing teams with great pass rushes in the postseason (like the Jets, Titans) they are done. Look at what the Eagles and Giants did to them.

Yeah, I've thought the Steelers COULD be the best if they quit making mistakes and got Parker healthy. Fact is, that's a part of football. They looked good against the Bengals, but I need to see some consistency first. Their defense is absolutely nasty, though, which keeps them heavily in the discussion.

No doubt about it. Things are looking great for the Jets schedule wise in the comming weeks as long as we keep rolling along.

I'm gonna say yes. Like I posted in game thread, I think we have a shot at coming out #2 in some of the next power rankings (only behind the Giants). This was not a "lucky break" kind of win, we just dominated, across the board, against a 10-0 team. And last week we were stronger than the final box suggested, I felt we could score at will. the only thing that stopped us from scoring more, or stopping the Patsies more, was the coaching staff going conservative.

Bro's all they did the entire game was put 8 men in the box and press the recivers....basically man to man... If thats all they have done to be 10-0 then....they are no NE. I culd not beleieve that they did not change after HT. But they d play in a weak division...we are a legitnteam that wil only get better as we have time to gel... Favre could be our savior!!! Chad would not have beat them...point bank!

Defenitly! Today was the first time the Titans faced a 3-4 defense this season...and we stomped a mudhole in them....in their own backyard.

Jets are clearly the best team in the AFC right now after that win, plus that's their 5th in a row.

I'm still rooting for Titans to beat Steelers I think. I really care a lot more about securing #2, than shooting for #1.

Worst case would be Steelers beating Titans & because of that sneaking ahead of us as #2 seed.

Tough call between Steelers and Jets, to be honest. Guess we'll find out in the AFC title game
