Because if they lose they are going to be pretty pissed off the following week....And also I want to be the first to beat them But in all seriousness the last thing we need is a reawakened Titans team...hopefully a win here may lull them into a comfort zone....that the Jets will happily smack them out of..
I don't see them not being ready to play us no matter what they do tomorrow. I think in terms of the Jets the best thing is that they lose and the Jets beat them. They are going to lose games with Indy, and Pitt remaining on the schedule. It doesn't matter what happens with them because if the Jets win the games they should things will work themselves out.
I think the Titans may lose both. I honestly don't think it will matter too much if they lose tomorrow. I think the Jets will be prepared after the weekend off, and the few injured and soar players, will have longer to recover; the coaches have longer to game-plan; and both players and coaches have the opportunity to watch the game tomorrow, rather then watching the film only. Either way win or loss tomorrow, the game on the 23rd should be a great game!
Screw that, I hope tomorrow is the start of a long slump that opens up the #1 seed in the conference.
i kinda want the jets to have the chance to end the perfect season. but it would be good if the titans lost tomorrow
I'd rather have home field advantage through out the playoffs--if they lose tomorrow, we beat them, Colts or Steelers beat them--we have the tie breaker over them and it's home field all the way.
a little to early for that, but i hope they lose also. Everyone that is ahead of us you should root to lose
I can't believe that they're going to broadcast Chargers-Steelers here instead of the Titans-Jags game. Local CBS affiliates should understand that the Titans game has more meaning for local Jets fans.
I don't think there is more ridiculous position that a team is better to be played after a win instead of a loss because they might be pissed off about the loss as if they will be less focused because they won. give me a f'ing break, good teams are prepared no matter what. how insecure are you about the Jets abilities to man up against the Titans that you are afraid they might be pissed. besides, you want them to f'ing lose tomorrow, so after we beat them next week we're only 1 game behind them in the race for home field. or would you prefer not to catch them? this thread has really pissed me off in it's lack of logic and plethora of insecurity.
either way there's a silver lining. if the titans win today, we have a shot at being the first team to knock them down a peg plus the game will get 10 times more hype and a national viewing audiance. if the titans lose today, we have a shot a the number one seed in the afc. i prefer the first option (titans win today), b/c if they win and we are the first team to knock them off, we STILL have a shot (albiet remote) at winning the afc. we would have the tie breaker so we just need to end up 13-3 or 12-4 (both teams)
