AND.... favre is old and slow. he is as slow as pennington. shit...keller would have caught that if we still had pennington fukin faneca, can you block seymour. can anyone block seymour can anyone block wilfork WTF did we take drob instead of wilfork can we stop the WR screen. coles is too old and gets hurt too much we need bigger receivers we need a deep threat we need a slot WR schott has to go. we let them back in the game with BS play calls it takes us too much effort to score. all of these little tidbits run thru the mind of a darksider - even while your team is on their way to 1st place after 10 weeks. how do i know that? well i thought of everyone of those things and plenty more during the game last night - even with several brews on board, a couple of JD's and a constipated 3 year old running in front of the TV screen for the first half. enjoy jil

Coaching was horrible starting with 2 minutes to go in the first half as it has been pretty much all year. i dont think saying keller should have caught that td pass is a darksider thing to say. he... should have caught that fucking td pass thats just all there is to it. i also dont think saying we need better coverage makes you a darksider, cassel threw for 400 yards. but the coaching staff did recognize the problem here and they tried to get deangelo hall, and then brought in law. he had a good game last night and i believe will only get better, so there's that to look forward to.
A win is a win. I'd like it better if we had not gotten thoroughly outcoached and outplayed in the second half but I'll take it. It beats the hell out of the alternative, which is a season suddenly gone dead at the 10 game mark. I've had a few too many of those at this point.

A number of those things ran through my mind last night as well. The scariest of all was the "prevent" defense at the end of regulation. Kinda just knew the Pats would score at that point. My date was asking me why I looked so pissed because the Jets were winning...I told her to just wait.
It?s comical ? we can?t win. If the Pats beat us we suck but we beat them and we suck because Tom Brady didn?t play and it took OT to do it.
I've been posting ever since the start of the season (after I got a month under my belt here and got to know the emotions and personalities) that you oldtimer Jets fans seem to have a congenital defect that forces you to see things half empty. But thanks for an entertaining exposition of exactly how that defect works. p.s. maybe the constipated three year old getting between you and the TV had a wee bit to do with your mood too? :smile:
HUH???? The attempted a PASS at the 2 minute mark. Why are people calling this conservative play calling??? The Defense made a play... It happens. But, IMO the play calling wasn't conservative enough.
Some people are never ever happy and even if the JETS won the SB, people around here would bitch about Mangini, the play calling, the refs, or whatever.....I've come to realize that there's people here that will never be HAPPY!!!!
jil, every team has their thing. Nobody is perfect. C'mon, man, enjoy this season for what it is. We don't get near enough of these, and we should just enjoy it while we can.

Just imagine when David Harris gets back from his injury. We will have a much better D at that point. This was a great win, and Favre did exactly what he was supposed to do. Our D is not the same without Harris IMO. It is still very good, but with Harris in, its better.
