Jets fans have some weird complex with the salary cap. We could grab Peyton Manning and they'd be sweating the money like it was coming out of their IRAs.

Yeah that's a great prediction considering the odds on that happenning ARE ZERO PERCENT.... But in the bizarro world, that prediction holds water... Get a clue, they like Law.

I don't want my jersey money feeding Ty Law's hungry family.

ty law is a very solid signing IMO...he had a great year with the Jets....he was shitty with KC...but who isnt...

TY LAW is going to take this defense over the hump...

i was saying d'angelo hall at NB but i'll take an old Ty Law over a young D'Angelo Hall anyday of the week.

?That?s my little boy,? said the 34-year-old Law. ?I?ve watched him grow up and to be able to help him now, it?ll be a good deal. He?s wearing No. 22, and he?s representing me. He?s a stud, and it?s going to be more of a pleasure to watch him grow.?

He's wearing number 22...Darrelle wears 24..is Law really that stuck up that he has to take our rising star's number halfway through the year...plus..Chatham already wears 22...i wonder how this will work out

Thank you for your "societal contributions" and you have every right to "stand by your opinions."

Hell, I'm reminded of that right every Veteran's Day, which happens to be tomorrow. So excuse me if I seem a bit short tonight.

My only point was that I come to this website expecting Thread Headlines to be factual. When I objected to one that's false, you call me out and tell me I need to "man up." Do you see why I'd get a little pissed?

i bet you its a typo

What's wrong with you guys? He had 10 interceptions for us, and he's a decent CB. Why the hell not?

Exactly what I was thinking. Although I don't like this move, I can see Law playing just this game. He knows New England, and they will primarily be forced to pass due to their lack of run game and our stout run defense. An extra corner never hurts.

I'm with you 227. Posting a false news article as fact is wrong, and bashing someone for commenting on it is worse. We shouldn't need to check the fine print to see if a news story is true, and there should be consequences for posting false news. Post that stuff in the bullshit forum.

As for Law, I'm all for it. Mangini knows what he's doing. The Jets are going for it THIS year.

"If he gives up a TD, send Gholston after his knees."

But Gholston will just miss him...

"Free-agent cornerback Ty Law reached agreement Monday with the Jets on a one-year deal, and is expected to play Thursday night against the Patriots."

Free agent? Isn't it more accurate to say he was involuntarily retired? Like the way there's a difference between a vow of celibacy and just not getting laid.

This Ty Law move has me giddy. And for you asking why? like the Jets have some big secondary, here are the two reasons why:

    1) Lowery gets toasted every week now.
    2) With Eric Smith, out at safety, even though Elam has played well there, he really isn't that fast, even at the safety postion and the position is very thin there now... Law is gonna play both CB and Safety.

This isn't a good move, this is a great move !!! C'mon, let's hear someone ask about how much he's making again,,, like a guy signing a one year deal, mid way thru the season makes that question even 1% relevant. C'mon, let's ask that again.

does everyone keep forgetting when he was with us a few years ago he had a career high and league high 10 picks! this move isnt going to hurt us at all...revis, law, lowery, elam, rhodes....i think we will be all set

plus he knows the patriots tendencies, it should only help us

I love the move. It's like the Celtics bringing in PJ Brown and Sam Cassell halfway through their season. Getting a savvy, playoff tested veteran and adding him in a role player position to a young and improving defense can only help. He's not coming out of retirement or back into the league to destroy a team.
