In this case I think it was actually the right decision. The Chiefs are clearly the inferior team, thus putting the entire outcome of the game into one play is pretty logical. Over another full quarter the better l better team is more likely to win, so why not just go for it?

As long as were talking about KC football, am I the only one who thinks Thigpen is looking really good? Guy is a 7th round pick, this is why I'm against drafting messiah QBs in the first round, you can always find a good one later.

you guys have to understand this is typical of AFC West football. Shootout close games and when you have a chance to win the game you better do it. This is almost just like the denver chargers game with the hochuli call. In this game KC Gets a first and goal on a TERRIBLE referee call and then KC scores... just like denver... then Like Mike Shanahan did they decide to go for the 2 point conversion. Thigpen had been getting off all day against the chargers and they should have felt confident in going for 2. I'm a chargers fan and all I could think was here we go again why wouldn't they try to win it on us. Hell our offense puts up 400 yards a game and has lead the league in scoring most of the season. If you got a chance to put us away.... i say take it. I meany ou guys saw first hand what the chargers offense can do. Only difference today is we had 2 10 play drives that end up as FG's rather than TD's like we normally do. Plus KC missed TWO extra point attempts in this game after scoring 3 tds. 3 tds and 19 points is embarassing though. Still i think you guys see an opportunity to bash Herm Edwards and are taking advantage of it. IT wasn't a bad decision in my mind.

What is funny is that when Shanahan went for it a while back. People said he had balls.

Here people are bashing Herm. I don't get it.

    1-7, go for the win.

Edwards has been playing for the draft pick for two years in a row. He did against us last year and he has been this year too. There is just no other way to justify any decision he ever makes.

On a 1-7 team I like going for the win. Especially on the road with a bad team. You just might steal a victory when you would have normally lost.

    GREAT FUCKING CALL!!!!

How do you like football and not like the idea of going for the win?! Has NOBODY on this site seen Necessary Roughness?!

Herm's a douche, but I love the call.

Yeah, I gotta say, Herm does suck, but I can't really say this was a bad call on his part.

Here's the bottom line, seeing how horrible Herm's been coaching, what's better, taking it out of his hands from coaching another quarter of god-awful football--away, or putting it in the hands of your QB, who had a monster game, to win you the game? I'm gonna go with QB to win them the game.
