I don't understand why people spend ungodly amounts of money on tickets, fuel to get to the stadium, parking, food and drinks to see our beloved Jets...and just when we are experiencing a dream shellacking of our opponent... people start leaving the stadium. At the beginning of the 4th quarter, half of the stadium looked empty. What gives?
i dont know...i really dont get it either...i guess since they had nothing to complain about they figured theyd pack it in and hit the road to beat traffic no realizing everyone did the same thing to only find themselves sitting in more traffic than they would have later lol...but at least they got to complain about that!
Lol...I've always thought that...when you think you're leaving early from sporting events to beat traffic...all you end up doing is leaving early. Theres rarely, if ever, any actual advantage in this IMO. I don't even see the advantage to leaving early if you're from NY...you're going to hit traffic either way then. If it was a 4 o' clock game...sure...but what else do you really have to do on Sunday that you can't stick around?
Because they're assholes who don't deserve their tickets. Edit: Guaranteed someone flames me saying "But I pay for them so I can do whatever I want." Doesn't make you any less of an asshole.
I just dont think some fans appreciate it. Ive never actually seen them play in person but I can tell you if I ever did there is no way im leaving early
The one game my wife and I got to see in person (2002 final game vs. the Packers)...we not only stayed until the end...we were almost the last to leave. Maybe if you always go it doesn't hold any value...but I would relish every moment of a win if we had season tix...you're gonna hit traffic no matter what.
I'm going december 14 against the Bills...there is no way I nor my accompanying party is leaving early
I have never left a game early, and i don't understand the people that do. Sure, you might get home earlier, but didn't you go to the game to escape what you have to do at home? I went to the Browns Jets game last year, and stayed the whole time. I was pretty much the last jet fan in the stadium by the end of the game. We were losing badly and it was freezing and raining, but I paid to see the whole game. And it actually was exciting at the end, there were a few onside kicks that made it close.
People go in hopes of seeing them win. They leave when they are sure they have won or have no chance of winning. They have lives other than football too you know.
Oh im sure they do but do you plan your sunday knowing that your only going to stay until the 3rd quarter?
Of course. If whatever they have to do is so important that they have to leave a very expensive football game early...then why go at all? It's not like most people don't plan to go well in advance.
Usually when I go to a Jet game I stay for the next 3 days. I'll tell ya what, it's a bitch showering in the mens room and I usually come out smelling worse than when I went in.
