The darksiders are consistently getting it wrong. Everytime they count out our beloved Jets guess what happens!!!! FIRST PLACE BABY!!!!!! They just don't get it! We made major changes in the off season including Favre who was NOT in camp with us! Obviously it would take some time. Now that we're tied for the lead the division is ours!!!!!!!! For those darksiders that are really Jets fans and not trolls I hope you feel better about the Jets doing well than you being wrong!
Well a/ all due respect..as a neutral party..the sunshiners are always proven wrong whn they think the jets are finally over the hump.
The day the darksiders are wrong, will be the day the Jets win their second Super Bowl. It's great to win a battle, but wouldn't you want to win the war?

Today I thought was our most well played game of the season. The last two games I have been pretty much pissed off throughout the whole game. I felt that way today until about midway through the 2nd quarter. After that I felt we had the game in hand even with the pick 6. I thought Favre overall played very well today, I just wish when up by 2 scores deep in your own end he'd take the sack, but the way the defense had been playing I still felt confident we'd win. Today I felt like everything clicked on some level even though we stalled in the red zone most of the day. The play that really got me psyched was Leon's stepping out of bounds before fielding the kickoff late in the game. I consider myself a generally neutral fan as far as Jets emotions, neither pessimistic nor overly optimistic. But after today I feel we can win a playoff game and the AFC is wide open. Tennessee doesn't scare me either.
The other day my dad reminded me of an old United Way commercial with I think Marvin Jones and a kid he was helping out. Marvin asked the kid when the Jets would win the Super Bowl again and the kid replied 2009.

What is this darksiders nonsense? It's a stupid term and the people that use it are only interested in pursuing their own agendas, rather than actually supporting the team. Pure idiocy. We are all Jets fans. Some Jets fans are homers, while others are oldtimers. That's pretty much the real breakdown of it. If you've followed this team for a long time you have come to a jaded and cynical understanding about this franchise.

Exactly. If sports teaches people anything its that people just are, stuff just is, and shit just happens. Many darksiders were like us homers or sunshiners or w/e the fuck they are...the difference is a level of cynicism...usually tied to this little thing called experience. Still...I'll remain optimistic lol.
Great post. As someone who has followed the Jets since almost as far back as Namath, I've had my hope crushed more times than I remember. It's only in the rare moments (I guess 2003 was the last time) that I allow myself to imagine the Jets in the Super Bowl. Yesterday was a GREAT win. I would say unexpected but it's so totally Jet-like to underachieve against horrible teams and then play over their heads against a team they weren't supposed to beat (See Pittsburgh last year). In a way, beating the Rams next week will prove more to me than beating the Bills! Let's see if they can avoid the big letdown next week.
What a stupid thread. Once again,people are very happy when we win a good game,and pissed off when we lose or play down to a horrible team. The fact that you need to label it with "Darksider" or "Sunshiner" is just freaking stupid. Do something more productive with your time other than point the finger at people that root for the same team you do.
No one cares if you are a "darksider" or "sunshiner" all jet fans are happy they are 1st in the division right now, regardless of what they thought would happen.
Hey, we still lost to the Pats and Raiders. There is nothing to get worked up over yet. Both of those games should have been gimmes. NE in their first week without Brady and Oakland. Give me a break. We should be 7-1 but things are beginning to improve anyway.
yes we lost to the raiders. but as you well should know by now the jets always lose a game they should win hopefully we can beat the pats in 2 weeks.
^because theyre gay......I have to take my hats off to the coaching staff as well...we came out in the second half with a solid game plan and ready to take it to buffalo...on the road...the only massive stupidity was not running the ball on first down when Favre threw that horrendous pick....
