    just looked at the 2009 mets schedule and got sick to my stomach
    home opener is the 7th game and a night game on a monday.

    at least we dont finish with florida @ home.

    Man it's a shame they traded L-Millz these 2 could have wrote some serious rhymes.... just bring back George Foster and we'd have the Sugar Hill Gang reincarnated.

    Oh and Shines was previously the manager of the Clearwater Threshers the FSL affiliate of the Phillies.

    Maybe that will end this two year run of awful September baseball..... time to move on.

    OH BTW didn't realize this but I happened to see that the Mets in 2008 were 3-7 against the two teams that combined to lose 200 games. That of course would be San Diego who they didn't score any runs against in getting embarrassed against and then Seattle.

    Not a surprise, considering he had a good season and is a cheap, solid fielder.

    I guess that means the Mets won't be making a run at Portuguese Power; Mark Texiera oh wait that was Polish Power; Ivan Putski........
