I just think it's pretty classless. Whatever though, I'm too happy right now to care TOO much.

    BTW the Rays bullpen.......

9 hits 8 earned runs....... in less then 3 innings of work. Thats a Mets like effort there and even that would be tough for Hielman and Co to do.

What's worse is it's the 1st time all season the Rays lost a game in which they had a lead of 5 or more runs and the Red Sox 1st win all season when trailing by more than 4 runs. Absolute choke job by the Rays...... simply disgusting.

Wow... I cannot stand Boston but you have to give credit where credit is due. I don't think theres ever been a team to play elimination games better than these guys do. This is what the 8th do or die game they've won now since 04? Pretty impressive

The progression of your posts in this thread is a great read. Tells the whole story of the game in a dozen sentences.

And in other news, I see someone doesn't like to show up after losses. Yet again.

wow that Tampa kid needs to get his ass here.....Ive been quasi-defending him...well not really, ive just been saying we should ignore him. But if he doesnt show his ass here and soon, he needs to never come back......as far as the game. I cannot believe what I saw last night. Please dont let Beckett pull a fuckin blood sock htomorrow night. I think the rays will still win but if Boston wins game 6..........................................

For a minute here I have to eat crow.

I went to bed after the Upton double off the wall, 7-0, presuming the game was over.

Pedroia is a gamer, I hate the guy, but he is undeniably a gamer.

I'm watching the replay now and if you want to blame anybody for a jinx blame the announcers... these guys have been talking a bout a series MVP since the 4th inning and now in the 7th are saying it's over and the white flag has been waved. Idiots, I realize hindsight is 20/20 but these guys are meant to be somewhat impartial professionals. Dave O'Brien and Rick Sutcliffe are horrible... Sutcliffe just called a that JD Drew was likely to hit into a DP because of all the talent TB has in the field... Drew rips a 2 run HR... you'd think Sutcliffe would shut up for a minute, but no!!! This is laughable.

Kinda funny. I was rooting against Boston last night almost as much as I would root FOR the Yankees. What a heartbreaker of a game.

    Didn't know that was possible.

In that case, let me just say about him while he's not here to lie and dispute it, I swear the guy had homosexual tendencies. I suspect he was coming on to a certain other poster around here and was upset when advances were rebuffed. Maybe it's just as well. We don't need the baseball forum to become some sort of dating club.

Umm, TBJF isn't a nerd and doesn't have a computer remember. He only has access to one when the Rays win

I'm still shocked that the Rays lost that game..... the Sox are one of the most gutty teams in all of sports. I can't think of too many teams that would win that game.

For all the credit Maddon recieved all season and playoffs he needs to get torched big time for that fail. I believe in baseball moreso than any sport the manager is a guy who needs to take blame when a team does not win and Maddon didn't help his team out any last night.

All that being said it still was a complete team failure for the Rays....

Think about all the choking going on with that team....

The misuse of the bullpen was classic Willie Randolph but how Maddon didn't use Howell against Ortiz instead of Balfour was headscratching.

You have not once but twice a ball being hit over an OFs head, how Gross could be playing so shallow after Upton got torched is beyond recognition.

Speaking of Gross how about that tee ball throw from right field on the Crisp hit in the 8th?

Pena who had only hit into 2 DP all season hits one in what was the most crucial at bat of the season for Tampa

Longoria with a great stop and a miserable throw to Pena who I still think should have scopped that ball up to at least keep Youk to a single.

Crawford with the bagel on the night

What amazes me is how many runs the Sox scored with 2 outs, that's disgusting .

About the only guys who didn't choke last night were Kazmir and Bartlett but give credit to the Sox, it was a great win for them and I think it's the one that propels them to a Series victory.

I predict Beckett gives a Schilling tye performance in 6 and shuts down the Rays. The Sox will then crush Tampa in game 7 ending a great run for the Rays.
