We would never have had 30 in the 1st half? Like we didn't at GB against Favre 2 years ago?

Our D played well against NE, we didn't tild FP in our favor b/c our O couldn't move it and our STs stunk. if we had a few decent drives maybe we could have pinned them back a bit?

The D sucked in the second half against NE they walked all over us.

The D ran out of gas keeping us in the game. NE kept getting the ball in great FP and we kept holding them and NE scored it's only TD as a result of a Brett favre INT.

Didn't we win the Miami game on a Chad INT when the Dolphins were in position to win the game? Again you assume that Chad wouldn't have thrown an INT against the Pats had he been on the Jets. Chad was an INT machine with the Jets the last two years which corrosponded with our lack of a big time running back.

The fact that they were in the game was thanks to our O & STs, I think our O would have looked alot better w/ a QB who knew the O ather than Brett in his 1st game. Chad was also in a must pass situation w/ zero talent at WR. The fatc that they even had a chance was a great job by him.

The sense of urgency is a little different when yuo have a 34 pt halftime lead. It was clearly an uninspried group in the 3rd qtr.

That's a bunch of bullshit. Warner is very good at getting rid of the ball to o the open guy when blitzed with extra guys. The more guys we sent, the more he took advantage.

This whole thread is bullshit. What if I had 12 inches, would Jessica Simpson want me?

true but there's no saying chad would've kept us in that game. we wouldn't have scored the 34 in the first half nor the 22 in the 2nd

Its awesome how we find ways to start new Anti-Chad threads. Honestly we would be 1-4 right now having only beaten Miami in the opener. Brett farve is the difference maker. Brett not only can command the offense and will it to victory ; he makes others around him look and play to an upper level that they normally could not. Laveranues coles in retrospect made chad look like a formidable Quarter back and hide his glaring weakness(arm strength ). I am not a Farve Cheerleader . I personally hate his improvisations and his propensity to just throw it out there with a regard similar to a player saying f#$@ it ; it either works or it doesn't. With Kellen clemens we would see a similar mark if not winless. With Brett ratlif maybe the same as I stated before 1-4 . Brett Farve = winner!

I think we'd be 1-4 with Chad. We needed some big drives in the second half of the Arizona game that Pennington couldn't have provided (Penny was benched in his game against AZ). I don't think Pennington makes either of the two TD throws in the Miami game either (a game in which Pennington threw the game sealing int, too). Favre just makes too many good plays that other QBs can't make. Even in the last game, I don't think Pennington makes the throw to Baker that sets up the last TD to seal the deal or throws 3 TDs in the same drive. Maybe, Pennington doesn't throw the the two ints in this last game(I do feel our receivers could have played the balls a little better) and we end up with one extra FG on one of those drives. Penny threw an untimely pick in the last game against Houston, but he got the ball back because the defender proceed to fumble the ball on the run back. Also, in the Houston game, they had the ball back in the final seconds, but he couldn't throw a bomb to try to win the game and instead Penny threw a 5 yard dump pass which made me laugh.

Obviously this thread is a bunch of bullshit. As a matter of fact, almost every single thread on this board is bullshit. But, to be honest, if the what if game wasn't played, there would be absolutely nothing on this board. It's about a fans opinion, get used to it.

And, if you watched the game, you would have seen that in the second quarter we blitzed the shit out of kurt warner and we forced 5 turnovers. 5! so, no you are wrong. Kurt warner could not handle the blitz, its just that our coverage gave a little more cushion because of the huge lead. There was no reason to risk giving up a huge play.

agreed. nothing we say on this board will change anything as far as the team is concerned. but it gives the fans something to complain, argue, or talk about.
Well, we did blitz a lot in the 3rd quarter and he man-handled our defense then.

I actually think this is a pretty interesting thread. The question is something that has been debated since the start of the NFL. Can 1 player make that big of a difference? My opinion has always been, you are out of your mind to think that. Every one of the 53 players is important, and if you take one out for another 1, the performance will change, but minimally. HOWEVER, my theory is really being tested right now as Matt Cassell continues to drive the Patriots down into the ground. Although I believe Favre is good for an additional win or 2 this season, to this point, I think with chad at the helm, wed still be 3-2.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. I watched the game, then rewatched the game and actually counted the number of blitzers on each play throughout the entire game. A lot of the turnovers we created in the 2nd quarter were from 3 and 4 man rushes where Jenkins stuffed up the middle and Warner had no where to step up. There's a thread on here somewhere with the results. Go rewatch for yourself if you don't believe me.

This has been a trend throughout the season. When we send more blitzers we tend to get beat. The only TD Cinci scored on us was when we were most aggressive in sending extra guys at the end of the second quarter.

It depends a lot on the difference in quality of the players. I think Brady is extremely overrated but you can't even compare him to a backup QB who hasn't started a game since HIGH SCHOOL. Also, the Patriots lost some players even before Brady got injured so that had to hurt a little as well.

Going by your comparison of the Patriots, why would you think we'd be 3-2 with Chad? He was 1-8 last year. Statistically that would transfer to 1-4 or 0-5 this year. Meaning that Favre already gave us an extra 2 or 3 wins this year. Just like Cassel has lost an extra 2.

Interesting. I didnt see that thread the first time around, I appologize. If the numbers you posted are true, then youre right. It definitely did not seem that way, but ive certainly been wrong before. Good stats.

Despite this, I still strongly believe that with the field position we got in that game off the turnovers. Plus, the miscues by the Cards, such as fallen players and blown coverages (WRs were open all over the place), we still would have won that games against them. The only throw i dont think Chad could make was that bullet to coles in the endzone when he was cutting across.

i really dont know if we would be 4 - 1 thats a bit of a stretch...favres presence on the field has provided a lift chad simply could not...however i have stated that the defense is the real reason this team has been better this year...so i agree with you on those lines...

without the defense playing at the level it has the jets are 2 - 3 right now...
