What do I do? With the construction how does the parking work now? I am coming from DC so I any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I take the bus from the city...I heard satellite parking is pretty painful. I would suggest getting a parking pass from ebay, they usually go for $60-45. Not sure if that's worth it to you??
Hmm... How does the Satalite parking work and where is it? I planned on driving there champ. I'll look for a parking pass too I guess.
Here is a parking lot map, if it helps at all? Has all of the lots and lot #'s if you can get a parking pass... http://www.meadowlands.com/images/parking_map.pdf And here are directions to the satellite lots Parking Lot toll plazas open 4 hours prior to kickoff. The offsite parking lots are located approximately 2 miles from the Meadowlands Sports Complex at 1050 Wall Street West, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. From Route 3 East - take the 17/N Rutherford exit - Stay to Right (Service Road) and follow signs to parking location. From Route 3 West - take the 17/S Lyndhurst exit to Polito Avenue and follow signs to parking location. From Route 17S - Follow Route 17S past Route 3 until it becomes Rutherford Avenue. Turn Left onto Polito Avenue and follows signs to parking location. Shuttle bus service will be provided to ticket holders from and to the offsite parking lots. For shuttle service times and locations, go to GIANTS PARKING INFORMATION or JETS PARKING INFORMATION. Handicapped accessible vans will be provided at the offsite location.
IF you dont get a pass you have to follow the directions to the satellite parking above and they bus you to the game. Ive only done it once and it wasnt terrible, but I would so drop the extra money for a parking pass next time. There officially isnt tailgating allowed in the satellite lots but we were outside drinking and stuff, I suppose you can get away with things as long as you aren't rowdy. The worst part was the line to get a bus to go back after the game, but as long as we win waiting in line inst so bad, if we lose its the worst thing in the world.
I could have written this message myself. I am also going to the Bengals game and driving from DC (No. Va actually), with my boy. I always like to go to a home game before Columbus Day if possible to drive back on Monday without missing work or school. I was advised on this forum to cough up the big bucks for a parking pass; otherwise no tailgating and bus problems will result. You can buy one standing alone on ebay (like I did - foolishly, separately from the tickets I bought on ebay), or from stubhub. Expect to pay about $60, but take minor consolation in that satellite parking would cost $25. See you there - I'll be the guy in the Jets jersey.
Satellite Parking is brutal. I went to 3 games last year. Opening day I did satellite and the following 2 I got the passes. I found them on ebay. They were like $80-100. It's a fortune just to park you car but I highly recommend biting the bullet and spending the cash cause satellite parking sucks. Good luck and have fun at the game!
I just went to the Cardinal game and got a parking pass from stubhub in section G, which is the parking deck. It was really quick to get in and out and the walk wasn't bad at all. Satellite parking sucks because the lines for the busses can get really long at the end of the game. Stubhub or ebay should be good for getting passes, but definitely get one, i paid about $60 for mine and it was worth it.
I went with the parking pass. $69 on ebay with shipping. Rough, but hey, I only do this once in awhile.
The Jets better win. $335 for tickets+pass, $150 for gas. good grief. Two Words: Brett Favre. I gotta see him atleast once.
It will be worth it. Seeing him on Sunday was priceless. I was in the lower bowl and we all were chanting his name and he gave us a curtain call. It was awesome. They should kill the bengals.
Is there an address to the stadium I can type into Mapquest? Thanks guys! I have only driven to a game myself once before (10-0 loss to Bears) but there was no construction problems then, just trying to be smart and prepared for a fun day!
That was an annoying game with all those smug Berz fans. Remember it well. That was the year they went to the Bowl.
