I think the biggest problem with the pick is the fact that the jets took him at 6 overall. You dont pick projects that high in the draft, but with hindsight if the jets traded down or chose another player I'm wondering if jacksonville would still have traded up to take Gholston or would they have still taken Harvey.

OMG and maybe we should do this too and that other thing, and what if we drafted him instead of him because hindsight has all the answers.... oh yea that guy total bust and he should have been gotten too,,, what about that other dude we should try him here because it all makes sense now, and you know what else???..................

I don't know for sure but I don't think Merriman had a guy in front of him averaging a sack a game either.

All I have to say is this...The RT for the cards was Levi Brown. David Bowens had two sacks against him. Calvin Pace had one sack, and one forced fumble against him. He was being beaten left and right. When Gholston got in the game, he was man-handled. His only role was to rush the passer, and being a "natural pass rusher", he couldn't do shit. NOTHING. Guy didn't even get close to the QB. I can understand not being able to drop into coverage, or keep contained. But when you are a physical specimen like he is, and you're told to RUSH...and you can't even do that...then I start to think we made a big mistake.

Told ya. Jets should have traded up to draft the likes of Darren McFadden or Matt Ryan the QB of the Future.

So from the next time on, the Jets should send all the pick for that one hot draft prospect.

*Somewhere behind the corner, Dslob is smiling at your stupidity. Thanks.*

Yeah...I didn't know if this is completely wrong, because he didnt have 2 SACKS...but wasn't sure if they kept new stats for SUCK = SCK. Cause if there is a new stat, he definitely had two of those.

I hate to get on the guy so early on, but Gholston really doesn't look like a football player. Sure he looks good in a uniform, but I have yet to see any sort of football skill whatsoever.

Rookie Pass rushers more often then not do not make a huge impact in the first year or two. Take Mario Williams as a recent example. It takes time for these guys to adjust to the Speed and Power of NFL linemen.

^ Its not an arm tackle!!!! woooo!

He looked good on his tackles, he wrapped up securely and brought the man down. On another tackle he dove to take out the legs of the runner like Wright does. He's learning and he looks good. That makes me think that once he gets enough experience, he'll look comfortable and fluid out there.

Amen brother. Sometimes the idiotic comments are just mind boggling! He's a rookie and learning a new position and he's suggesting trading him for a kicker. Freaking amazing!!!!
