At the end he was rushing the QB but going absolutely nowhere. Still a Rookie is his excuse.

Looked up the stats. Gholston had two tackles and two assists.

Both assists were on special teams.

Nothing wrong with that, at least he is contributing.

Clearly, he is a bust. He cannot beat out pedestrian OLB that is Bryan Thomas. As a 1st round pick (that is ranked as high as 6th overall) he should have completely mastered the entire playbook with his responsibility as a 3-4 OLB within the given time. He was given ample time, no? He had the entire summer, AND 4 preseason games - and 4 weeks of regular season too. That's all too more generous amount of time to completely master the playbook.

He is a bust. They should cut him IMMEDIATELY.

You must be a complete idiot if you don't agree with both of those comments, are you?

special teams tackles were his big contribution today, but I saw swagger coming into form today... he was drafted as a project, so progress is all you want to see each week.

Four weeks and your counting this kid out. I'm disappointed but not ready to make any cheers or sighs when I hear his name.

I know...I wasn't knocking him at all. I was just letting everyone know that's where half of his plays were made, because most don't pay attention to special teams tackles.

It was all passing today for the Cards. At this point I'm glad they left him on the sidelines.

The Jets score 34 in 1st half and the Cards 35 in 2nd half and I can't recall ever seeing that before.

Mario Williams was considered a bust his first year. He's now a bona fide star.

Some players take time to develop...

So who sits? Thomas? He had another sack today - which gives him 4 or 5. And the Jets gave him 5-6 years to develop. Should Pace sit? He was a man possessed today. How about those people that had Casserly fired for drafting Williams over Bush. Who would you rather have now?

As for McFadded, he had about 20 yards today while Bush carried the load for the Raiders.

How about we wait a year or two or three before declaring a player a bust.

He is sucking major balls. He is #4 in the depth chart behind Pace, Thomas, and Bowens. Cardinals threw the ball like 100 times today? And he couldn't even get a sniff of the field? This means he has been sucking balls in practice as well. I can understand not being that great at stopping the run, when you are making this transition, but holy cow today was a perfect day for him to show something. I definitely do not want to see him in the field in crucial situations. Let him play only in blow outs.

Brian Thomas' first 4 games as a rookie: 7 tackles, .5 sacks. Give Gholston time.

Unless you are a RB, most rookies need 2-3 years to develop.
