That's ok. It's just that calling people "fans" isn't too cool. I'm more than happy with todays game. But after being a jet fan since the early 80s,I want to be able to beat the chargers and pats of the league and feel like we can get somewhere.
I think everyone here that is a Jet fan supports their team. Some of us older Jet fans know that it isnt every year you get a Favre for your QB and we want more. We aren't going to get over 15 years with him like the Pack fans did. That being said,he was killer today. But lets make it happen consistently.

I get a little worried when I get my hopes up as well. It usually doesn't end well. I enjoyed the offense today, and the good defensive big plays. I agree withh the Coles comment. If he can get going, along with Keller, things can really open up. But I thought big things in the preseason too....so we will see.
I'm not a darksider I predicted 11 & 5 before the season. You have not proven a thing and you are a gloater based on nothing but a good game. That's from one sunshiner to another. Its a long season and it was a nice win. Its a little early to gloat. The darksiders on this site have one thing in common, most of them are long time fans who have actually stuck by this team through a lot of thin and thiner. Most of them if not all of them want to be proven wrong.
There is a difference between blind fan bullshit and level headedness... I'll take the players and coaches point of view and go with level headedness.

All that "prediction" stuff just means you're "Swami Swami Baloney!" You know who predicted that Favre would throw 6 TD passes today? That's right: Mister Nobody. Predictions are useless. Meanwhile I am sitting here watching the post-game press conference on SNY. IT's great. Coles was gushing about worki with Favre (far from his Mr. Negativity image), Favre made a lot of sense, and the rest of the team just seemed to say the right things after a big win and a so-so start to the season. This team just seems to have something different about it. I'm not going to go out and predict the W-L record for the rest of the season, but I will say that this team is NOT the "Same Old Jets."
