I can't believe how good Jenkins is. We are lucky to have him, and fortunate that he's not hurt bad.

I know it was only 2 weeks, but with Jenkins dominating the middle of the line, we were actually top 5 in the league in rushing D.

Nothing in the article is from Jenkin's mouth. It just quotes the Mangini. He is from a school that is, lets say, less than honest regarding injuries.

Right on Bro. I've seen enough to believe our whole season lies squarley on one mans shoulders and that aint Brett Favre. Christopher Jenkins is the brightest light we have had on d for ages.

Jenkins is awesome against the run. He just doesn't move so the point of attack is either at or behind the line of scrimmage.

It was so obvious the Chargers were taking advantage of him being out. At one point, they ran like 11 out of 12 plays, most right up the gut.

2 wasted first round picks? I'm not sure what you mean by that, we haven't used a first round pick on a NT.

  9. How many of those 3rd down conversions came on the ground?

Any more info on Jenkins' history of back problems that the Jets should have known about? Got a link or something? Some of that history you told us to look up?

You were responding to someone praising his defense against the run.

Aha yes he did a wonderful job against the run in the 1st qtr however as so many on thiis board say all the time it is a team game & as a total D in the 1st qtr it stunk up the SD area totally

We definitely didn't get much pressure on Rivers, they were doing a great job picking up our weak blitzing schemes. We got much more pressure on NE and Miami, but it appears SD gameplanned us well, or maybe Sutton/Mangini are just using the same schemes every week and pretending to gameplan each team differently.

You quoted someone talking about his run-stuffing abilities. You then tried to impose your negativity by bringing up 3rd Down conversions, except they were passes not runs. So what you said was irrelevant.

maybe what he is saying is that the jets should zone blitz, leaving jenkins to cover the middle of the field, that way he can attempt to cover the short crossing route over the middle that the rest of our defense cant stop.

Maybe that's how they do it over there in the UK but it's not going to work in the NFL buddy.

Yeah, the obvious point being that you don't look to your NT to be the guy getting the sack in the pass rush.

Looking like another rough day for this Champ fellow.
