I don't get it. How can the CS not see how poorly ES and DC are playing for the last 2 years and so far this year?E. Smith does not belong on an NFL field at all. D. Coleman is always seen chasing and trailing on just about every play directed at him. These are the two WORST players I have ever seen.

Nothing for nothing the Jets played a QB that was on top of his game. The Chargers have a top notch offense. Rivers had all fucking night to throw hence he exposed the Jets weaker players in the secondary. It was not just those two the killed the Jets. It was the inability of the team as a unit to stop the Chargers on 3rd down. How many 3rd and 7-8-9-10 did the Chargers convert it was truly sickening.

That being said, I saw plenty of jaw droppingly bad plays from Smith and Coleman. Smith totally wiffed on several tackles, I was going to throw something at the screen on one. Coleman was abused on crossing patterns on third down.......... jesus they were ugly

what I find funny is that most people here think Rivers sucks and thats why they are pissed at this loss... the dude is an elite QB.

I think Smith was probably the worst that I noticed out there. He gave away so much. Especially when it counted on third downs and that TD. I'd rather see Barrett at safety to be honest.

The point above about how the secondary would have looked better if the pass rush had gotten to Rivers more is a good one, but I do think both Coleman and Smith are a problem back there. Jets do not have a deep secondary.

I hated Barrett at the corner, so it follows I like him better at safety, but he is no long term answer there, and imo had a pretty mediocre game overall. Yeah, he got the step on the int, and that was a great play, but Barrett has always been inconsistent, and sure enough he was out of a few plays later on, and did leave the field for awhile with an injury.

Jets seem good to very good at the other three starting db positions, but still are struggling at safety opposite Rhodes.

Poteat was one of the final cuts. I wish we would bring him back in.
