Where the heck did our suddenly good pass rush go? Did we even touch Phillip Rivers tonight? I didnt see any creative blitzes, I didnt see any real pressure, honestly the man was rattled early by his horrid INT, yet we didnt attack him at all tonight, why not?

Hell I would rather play like the Eagles did yesterday and blitz 6 every play of the game, and make the qb make a great play every drop back to win the game. But nope I would love to see the stat line on hurries tonight, my guess is 1. times hit 0.

This just really says to me fire Bob Sutton, I hated his hiring, and have wanted him gone since he was hired. It's inexcusable for him to get zero pressure when we actually have guys who can get to the QB, he has to find ways to get to the quarterback so our defense can make more plays.

Their O-Line played well, but yes, the old man who scares no one needs to go.

JENKINS! Without a big space eater, 3-4 doesn't work and no pressure is applied. Thats what happened we got pressure when he was in there. That said, I wanted Sutton gone last year

Losing Jenkins hurt, but let's be honest: Pouha played horribly. He was getting mauled by single offensive linemen. Even LT pushed Pouha back at least 5 times. We need Jenkins. We also need to disguise blitzes better.

so what you guys are telling me is that a coordinator for an NFL franchise can't call a blitz that will get to the QB unless he has one guy standing in the middle of the field drawing two lineman? Hell blitz 3 lbs, they plus the guy in Jenkins spot should be able to take up 4 blockers, but seriously even before jenkins left, did we even touch rivers?

The guy folds under pressure, so lets apply some shall we?

but nope... Hell Lane Kiffin for DC anyone?

You can call blitz's all day, but If the D-line isn't getting a push and opening holes for the LBer's you won't get the pressure. I don't know what game you watched, but when Jenkins was in there we did get pressure, we didn't hit him but had him on the run. It was only a matter of time, but injuries suck!

As bad as Pouha was today, you can't blame him or credit Jenkins for pass rush. Watch the replay of the game, over 90% of the time the Jets only sent 3 in to rush and dropped 8 into coverage.

And oh yeah, if your dropping 8 into coverage, then why in God's name is no one paying attention to the running backs swinging out of the backfield?

    Awful defense.

    I hate the cover who.

And don't you dare think the decision to do that came from the coaches, because it ain't their fault; in fact, they don't make the decisions or devise the schemes, that's ALL on the players.
