that's what beat us today. Feely's miss and Graham's punts are inexcusable. Gostiaski(sp?) pinned us to the 20 each kickoff and even his punting nailed us.

send graham back to aussieland. i don't care about his weird kicks and spins on the ball, it hasn't meant a thing to opposing teams.

i truly feel that we will miss a FG every f'n game. no confidence in whoever the FG kicker is.

    Feely's miss was BAD...

I understand some jitters...But that was a complete MISS when he was setup right down the middle.

I applaud Gostkowski for what he did with Leon...They were smart and made it annoying pinning us back so much.

They did excellent on special teams while the Jets were bad in every part of special teams.

more like BB was smarter than Mangini... Gostkowski kicking it over LWs head was a statement and a mental game played by the Pats... its brilliant.

We used to have one of the best special teams. God, this sucks.

Agreed. Few teams ever think to try to take the dangerous kick returner out of the game by kicking it far.

    Mangini outcoached again.

    lmaoo shit.

sometimes people just take the obvious and make it into brilliance, just because of this "bill bellichick is a genius" notion.

just got back from the game and have to agree that ST just killed us today. obviously there are a bunch of other things we can look on with regret/disgust/disappointment, but the early missed FG was a joke ending for our first drive at home this season and our constant starting on the 20 were huge factors.

I'm sorry and it may be brash but Jay Feely needs to be cut tomorrow. We need to set the tone that mistakes will not be tolerated. His miss was inexcusable and he should pay because of it. Give him his 40,000 or whatever he gets and kick his ass out the door. That missed kick set the tone for the entire game. If he missed that one there is no doubt in my mind that he will miss many more.

Mangini should be heading the mistake exodus from the team then...

I'm not against that if he continues to allow this pre school play calling to continue.

Field position was key. The Jets had to make long drives for every score. That's a lot to ask for any team.

while the pats continually started inside our 50. how hard was it for them to put up the 19 that they did??? honestly, it was a pretty uninspired 19 points that they put up, but it was an easy 45-50 yards down the field every time for them. while we had to go out 80 flippen yards every drive for a score lmao omggg

maybe the pats kicker is better than all the other kickers we've faced........?????? maybe the other kickers couldn't have kicked TBs as frequently as gostkowski did today.

It is funny. I just looked this up on nfl.com. The Jets only had 4 total yards less than the Patriots and actually got more yards per play (5.2 to 4.4). That's the problem when you have so long to go to score.

exactly. even against a good patriots team (albeit without brady, but still a good team) we were hardly outmatched. what really was the difference was the starting field position. thats why i was so infuriated when our guys would just stand and take a knee in the endzone on the kicks they actually caught. just run it out, see what happens. but they seemed more than inclined on taking the free 20, besides the one last kickoff when they HAD to run it out for any comeback opportunity.

and man, was graham's punting off today......omggggg, he had me pissed bro. he's gotta get some more behind his kicks. the one that he sailed outta bounds that flew only 29 yards in the air....that was pitiful.

That tone was set years go w/ no competition coming in for Ben Graham as he shanks punt after punt. He's like the ARod of punters, he'll shank big punts for us but when it's meaninglesss we'll see that legendary big leg boom 50-60 yarders.
