Now we get to see how much these 2008 Jets really have improved....going up against the Pats' this Sunday. Jets' sure looked good against the Dolphins, but all teams look good against the Dolphins. Pats' will give Jets' players & coaches a true test of where there at & how far they can go.
Yep, Sunday is an acid test for the Jets. We'll see whether the new beef in the trenches allows the Jets to avoid getting pushed around, or preferably allows them to push the Pats around. My gut feeling is the game in the trenches is going to be a lot more even than it has been in awhile and that if the Jets can stop the edge rushers and give Favre some time to throw we're going to win this one handily. We'll see.
Usually its there passing game, more than there running game that hurts the Jets...But with Brady out ??? Jets' must get mucho pressure & a few sacks from there improved pass rush. Offensively...Jets' must run the football alot & handle Pats' pass rush.
Mangold and Faneca double-teaming Wilfork on the runs to the right to TJones that the Jets seem to feature so often.
i hope we put 8 or 9 in the box and blitz the living crap out of cassel. i wanna see kerry knock him out time of possesion should be a key in this game if we can establish the run and let brett do his thing we should be golden
Man, that takes me back to the day that Vinny went down in 1998. Bill Parcells looked just like that on the sidelines...
I think when this game is over we will be able to appreciate just how much miami has improved. Cassel wont be able to effectively manage a passing attack and we will shut down their run game. It will be easier win then the miami game wk one.
I'll just throw out the recap from the last time we faced the Pat's http://www.patriots.com/search/index.cfm?ac=searchdetail&pid=29660&pcid=41&rss=1 I have faith we can seal the deal this Sunday.
Saying it won't make it true, can't wait to see Jets fans cry about getting beat by a QB that hasn't started a game since High School.
