I suspect Mangini is going to bring in a temp and see how it goes with Nugent for a week or two. If so, who gets cut from the 53?

Depending on the extent of the Nuge injury he could be IR'd. I doubt he's cut. Perhaps one of the 7 receivers we have on the roster if not Nuge?

Maybe I missed him, but I didn't see him lining up in ST yesterday? That's pretty much where my opinion of him comes from.

I'm pretty sure the first guy to get cut if we need to make a roster spot is Carroll. That's if they want to try and keep nuge around. Who knows how they feel about him. Personally I couldn't care less, he's a damn kicker. Bring someone in who can consistently get the job done and be done with it.
Could Nugent be put on PUP ? He'd be off the roster until game 7. That would be a convenient way to handle the situation. It would give him the time he needs to recover. And for the Jets to give a serious tryout to someone else.
NO! They should cut Ainge. A fourth QB is dar from necessary...and the fact that his roster spot is useless unless the sky starts falling and he has no value to the club he should be the guy to go if Nooge is out and they sign a leg.
I don't know the rules surrounding the PUP designation but if what you state is allowed, it seems like the most reasonable solution.
Is this the Twilight Zone thread or something? Cutting Nugent or Brad Smith? Those are the names being dropped here? Maybe some of you guys are still drunk and stoned from yesterday... Nugent isn't the CP of kickers...That's a dopey remark. He has solid numbers, and the only area that he shows some defficiency in is getting touch backs on kickoffs... Maybe you shouldn't just pull names out of thin air and have a basis for your point...Brad Smith and Nugent getting cut! Ridiculous!
