Every source is saying this now, so I guess it just might be true. Trent Dilfer just said on ESPN that the Pats could survive because "they are such a classy organization." I guess that shows you that players don't necessarily have a clue what is going on with another team. Unless he think it's classy to cheat, have your coach lie about cheating, have your coach denigrate and demean opponents, etc.
That makes no sense. Even if it WASN'T a crock of shit about them being so classy, how would that help them win games without a legitimate QB?
Because they'll come together and battle through adversity. Hey don't ask me, he was the jackass who said it.
No, I know it wasn't you, it's just stupid. Battling through adversity is different than battling through a substandard player at the most important position. It's like saying the 1923 Yankees would have "battled through" having some high school kid pitch every game.
I never wish injury on a player, but I won't lie.. a evil grin lit my face and a few choice words snuck out. That play wasn't dirty at all and the Patriots should be the last ones to point their finger at that. Talking about dirty plays, that last play in the Giants game was though for sure. That actually might not be a bad call by the Pats org.
I'd love to see Culpepper play for New England. I always thought he was a soft player and a bully. Culpepper could look great when things were going well, but he would always find a way to suck in the end. He was also a sex boat guy. A lineman like McKinnie or a DB like Smoot could maybe get a pass if you are a really forgiving person. You can't give a QB a pass on that, though. Culpepper is not a leader and is not a high character guy.
Think about thiss!!!!!: Brady is out for the season (very possible) The Jets now do great. If the only thing between the jets and the superbowl (with whoever in the NFC gets to superbowl (imagine the epicness of the packers getting there)) the offense of the patriots without brady shouldn't be terribly hard to stop. And with brett on the team, our offense should be able to get past their defense.
I?m sure bellibitch will be completely forthcoming Monday when he has the results of the vaginal scope in his hands.
Clearly this was no normal injury. I think everyone knows that God was angry that such mean spirited people were winning and that it was he, and not Bernard Pollard who made this happen.
I was so looking forward to next week's game between the Jets and the Pats. I wanted to see Favre and Brady put on an air show (with Brett winning, of course). The Jets have lost their share of QB's to season-ending injuries ove the years. It ain't gonna be any fun beating the Pats w/o Brady (well, almost).
I would think The Jets are now favored to win the AFC East, but I resist the urge to get all cocky about this. Too much happens to the Jets during the course of a season to get crazy here. Let's keep fingers crossed and see what happens.
Simms could be signed. The question is, if they bring in Simms, will it be with an eye towards him taking over in a few weeks, or do they want Cassel as the starter?
