I guess you missed both raider/Bronco games last year. Broncos can't stop anyone running game. Also this year they are really suspectible to the midrange pass(their lbs and safeties are liability in coverge. Raiders will exploit that weakness all game. First Raiders Oline not blowing any Dline off the line of scrimmage. That is not there style anymore. They are a stretch and cut blocking scheme. (denver) Raiders haven't even been cut blocking yet this preseason.(thats when you see the big lanes forming) Listen Teams can play the run real aggressive but they are just opening themselve up for the pass(see Titans preseason) Titans were so keyed on stopping the run, that when Raiders passed, they moved the ball down the field with ease. Titans stud pass rusher was a nonfactor. Raiders just elected to try and run the ball after that.(if regular season game they would have passed till Titans styopped playing the run so aggressively.) Can the Raiders just drop back and pass. No ,they fall behind and they are in trouble. As long as they have the threat of the running game, they will be able to pass . People are severly underrating Raiders passing offense. There is alot more weapons for Jamarcus Russell to work with this year. Watch The Denver game and see what Im talking about.
There is nothing Jets have on offense that can hurt this Raider defense. 1 Jets couldn't run on the Raiders in that game and are not going to run on them today. 2. Jets were effective throwing those five yard pass patterns and running after the catch. Reason being Raiders had very bad tacklers in the secondary(Stuart Schweigert- horrible, F Wasington and Chris carr) Thats not the case anymore Gibril Wilson is very sure handed tackler. Deangelo hall another solid tackler. Stanford Routt, N asomugha and M Huff are all good tacklers. Even T Branch is a very surehanded tackler. Thomas Howard (a rookie in 2006) has develeped into the premier cover LB The Raiders have no problem leaving him man on man on Leon washington, Keller or even a WR. K morrison is another fine cover LB. Raiders other starting LB ricky Brown is another guy that can fly. Even on the Bench, Raiders have guys like J alston- another lb with some serious wheels Keller- M huff has taken out better tes than this guy(walk in the park) Coles and cothchery have hall and asaomugha to make them a non factor. Jets Third Wr- stanford Routt easily takes him out. Now when those five yard pass patterns aren't there anymore(those Wrs are going down after they catch it) thats means the QB has to hold the ball a little longer. Thats when you see the pass rush. D Burgess going to abuse Damien woody. Raiders have so much coverage ability that they are going to be doing alot more blitzing(something Raiders really never do) Thomas Howard(one of the fastest Lb) going to kill MR favre on those blitzes.
Where are the Raiders "Thumper LBs?" They can all cover, which means they are overweight safeties playing Linebacker. Huff had trade rumors about him this year. If stanford Routt is so good, why go through the trouble to add more secondary help with Branch being drafted anyway? Its like me talking up Drew Coleman. When do you confess that this persona isn't real?
YEA If you consider trading for D robertson and counting on him to be a big answer in the stopping the run. As a solid move. Than what can i say. Brandon Marshall their best WR had a run in with a MCdonalds bag . Not to mention been susoended for the Raiders game. Ryan Clady making his debut on monday night football aT LT on the road(good luck hearing the snap count) LB Boss Bailey who never healthy and might already be out for this game with Raiders. Anyone who predicts this Bronco team for maybe being a playoff team. Just missing the boat. Denver battling KC for last place in Afc west.

Lets See WLB Thomas Howard 6'3 240 4.4, MLB K morrison 6'2 240 and SSLBRicky Brown 6'2 235 (4.4 something) are oversized Safeties. Okay??? only one probably is Jon Alston. He just there to play in certain defenses.(not an everydown lb) Huff had trade rumors. So did tim Brown have pretty much every year. Old Al Davis trick to see what people around Nfl thought about his players. L kiffin had no plans to get rid of Huff. He told huff he was going to get a SS in the offseason ,and move him to his more natural FS. See Gibril Wilson who will be SS> Huff going to have a big year at FS. Let see when you have a chance to get a two time probowler at 24 years old deangelo Hall .(not even in his prime) You take it. With asomugha on one side and deangelo hall on the other, you have a fine starting duo. S routt who is very good CB playing outside , really dosen't like to play inside. Jmo I think you will see Deangelo Hall slide inside when teams go three wide. With asomugha anD Routt playing outside. Raiders problems last year was the nickel CB- They had trouble matching up to the slot reciever. F washington not the best tackler let a guy catch the football well short of first down only to pick it up, after he couldn't bring that Wr down. That where T Branch who Raiders see as a Safety. Gives the Raiders another solid tackler in their Dime package. Lets see a Wr catch a football well short of a first down, and still make a first down. Not on Gibril wilson watch.
Overweight safeties was sarcasm... So Davis doesn't know about his own players? That's like a woman asking about the new shoes.. She doesn't know if she likes them. If everyone else likes them, then she likes them. So Al Davis has self-esteem issues? Hall followed the money. Hows the cap look?
YEa your overweight safeties was sarcasm . just like your comment about Coles. Right? Hall followed the money. Like Alan faneca didn't. Yea Alan Faneca came to Jets to win a championship. Again No one understands the Cap better than AL Davis. Raiders cap is fine.
The Jets were 10-6 in 2006 and made a playoff appearance. The Raiders had a Top 5 defense and didn't reach the playoffs. Last season the Jets suffered injuries at QB, WR, TE, FB, S, CB, and LB. The Raiders apparantly had injuries as well. By applying your own logic, the Jets are a 12-4 team this season. PS - The Jets didn't have a Top 5 defense in 2006 and will not this year (nor have I said they would) However, they will have a better record than Oakland whether they beat them later on or not.
if you need to hold me to a lapse in typing about Coles going to FSU and not FU, fine - whatever makes you feel like you got one on me. I know where Coles went to college, and why he dropped in the draft too. Faneca has a better chance to see January in one year here than he would in 5 in Oakland. You'd rather have Faneca than hall. Wrong
I MUST ask AGAIN..............why is this Joe guy allowed to post here?......and another question........why does he WANT to?
Get real please,,, the Jets won 4 games last year and you belive they are going to be some 12 win force this season? Sorry but it's going to be fun watching guys like you run and hide as the Jets go 1-3 over the first month of the season.
Wow been watching the NFL long? Teams can drastically change each season. Did you honestly think at this time last year you would be seeing Eli holding the lombardi trophy in February?
