http://www.jetsdaily.com/2008/09/allianz-stadium.html It could be. According to the New York Times, the Jets and Giants are in negotiations with German-based financial services giant Allianz to buy the naming rights to their new stadium, set to open in 2010. According to the Times, the deal could be for at least 30 years for around $25 million or more annually, which the teams would split. Allianz also owns the naming rights to Bayern-Munich's football (soccer) team, and it sponsors Formula One racing. The estimated $25 million a year would exceed the $20 million that CitiGroup will pay for the new Mets' stadium and that Barclays will pay for the proposed Brooklyn-based Nets' arena. This would be a welcome change for Jets fans, most of whom would love a corporate name to grace the stadium after years of playing in Giants Stadium.
Yeah I'm really rooting for those two companies. Too bad our economy is so bad that we need a foreign investor to buy the rights.
Unfortunately, virtually of the large German companies were very complicit with the Nazis, or they wouldn't have survived - Krupp, I.G. Farben, Siemens, Volkswagen, BMW, Daimler-Benz, Rheinmetal, Flick KG. The German subsidiaries of Ford (Fordwerke) and GM (Opel) also used slave laborers (although there isn't much evidence that the American parent companies made any money from these subsidiaries before or during the war). If we're going to talk about insurance companies, Aetna and New York Life were among the insurance companies that insured slaves in this country.
Well never have our own fuckin name and well never actually play in "NY" Pretty gay but aslong as i can watch my team play football im good.
