Poteat without a doubt. While not great, he's been good for us. Also, grew up with the guy so it was easy to root for him...

I'd like to have 4 NTs as well. Mosely can play it though. He's a good 3rd option.

Spencer is a damn good ST guy though.

I kind of liked that Idebego guy. He had good size and had that game where he made the nice int in the end zone but then he went for it late and got burned. He could lay the wood down in the secondary as well. I thought since he was a big hitter he may have been able to make an impact on special teams.

On the flip side, I thank the heavens that Chatham is gone! I hated him. HATED. Useless. If he didn't have that Patriots-Mangini connection, he never would have sniffed the roster in the first place.

Whenever Kassell and Chatham were in a game, I just cringed. I guess Westhoff like them on specials which gave them a roster spot. But they were the least talented of the backup LB.

I'm glad the Jets are going with youth and potential (Cummings and Murrell) over old, no good vets. But with Westhoff coming back, I'm surprised Mangini was able to get rid of Chatham.

The last old backup - Spencer - has actually looked pretty good this preseason. So I'll give him a reprieve. He can be the one veteran leader on special teams.

I'm afraid that keeping BATMAN is a mistake

I wouldn't be shocked if it was his Special Teams skills that got him the spot. If he's facing the #4 or 5 WR on the field, I won't be upset. Keep him off guys who can really run routes.

I am disappointed about losing Pociask.

I know the guy will never become the next Antonio Gates. But he's battled back from injuries and has turned himself into a decent player. He's looked good in the preseason with a few catches. And Pociask always had the reputation as a good blocker. He would have been a nice reserve TE. It's too bad he didn't make the cut.

Quite frankly I'd prefer Pociask over Franks. But I think Bubba's relationship with Favre got him a roster spot. It sure wasn't Bubba's play in the preseason where he dropped a number of passes.

He'll catch on somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Miami.,

Pociask is probably as good as Atlanta's starting TE

I'm wondering (hoping) if he's the guy who's going to get cut when Chatman's suspension is over. It's possible that he's just here to handle the ST duties that Justin Miller won't be able to do while he's injured. By the time week 6 rolls around (4 suspension weeks & bye week), Miller should be healed and we'll need to free up a roster spot to keep Chatman.

That's what I was just thinking. Carroll did well on KR during the preseason. Which isn't surprising since he's got 4.3 speed. But he sucks at coverage.

So I'll bet he doesn't see the field except for special teams (unless there's an injury). And when Miller's injury free and Chatman eligible to come back, Carroll is gone.

The guy who goes on to be a star somewhere else. LOL. Big mistake keeping Carroll.

I miss him by far the least. I smile every time I think about how I dont have to hold my breath everytime he throws more than 5 yards towards the sideline. What a crappy player and I am so deliriously happy the useless POS is gone. I cant wait till we crush him on opening day.

Poteat provided some depth at the position but was he really better that Barrett? It's kind of like going from a hang nail to an ingrown toenail.
