The reasons behind the Green Bay front office/coaching staff not wanting Favre back appear to be very complicated and appear to involve personal feelings between them. However, it is important to note that Green Bay would rather pay Favre an enormous amount of money to stay retired than allow him to play for a division rival. That should tell you just how much they still respect Favre's ability as a QB.

Allan Faneca- Is one of the best guards who's ever played the game and still has plenty of good ball left in him. Pittsburgh also let go of Plaxico Burress. Am I right?

Bubba Franks- No one really expects him to be more than a redzone target. With Baker and Keller, who looks like he's going to be a top 5 tight end in this league, by the way. I don't think Franks really matters. You can have him.

Kris Jenkins- He's 28 and has stayed healthy the for the last two years. He's dropped 40 lbs since he's been here and looks ready to go back to his 2004 form. He was a stud before he gained too much weight. He looks committed, and has been eating up space and when he doesn't he gets into the backfield every time. I take Kris Jenkins on my team anyday.

Calvin Pace- He wasn't used correctly in Arizona until last season. I was skeptic of this signing at first, but I'm convinced that the guy is no Bryan Thomas. I've seen enough of him in training camp and in the pre season games to know that this guy is all over the field and doesn't give up on any play.

Brett Favre- He didn't want to be here at first but the one thing I noticed about Brett is his honesty. At the press conference, he looked like he didn't want to be here, but now you can tell he's happy to be a Jet. He likes his new teammates and seems to be getting along with everyone. He's played great in hte preseason while picking up the offense on the fly. If GB didn't want their qb back after he threw 28 tds and led them to the NFC championship game, they're nuts. It was more than that. They committed to Aaron Rodgers once Brett retired, it was understandable. And it isn't like the offered him 20 mil to stay retired by the way.

Damien Woody- Played in 5 games last season where he looked great at RT. I've seen those games so don't tell me otherwise. Whether he's worth the money, I'm not sure, but I do know he's an instant upgrade over Anthony Clement.

T-rich- Is 36 but played at a very high level last year. He's a stop gap, who cares? Right now he's one of the best FB's in the game. I don't see what's funny about that.

When you spell Jenkins' first name correctly, I will take you seriously.

    Tedy Bruschi
    Rodney Harrison

I was agreeing with you. I don't think anyone on that list is old other than Favre and Tony Richardson, and both of them show no signs of slowing down.

who was passing the ball then buddy?

    whos passing the ball now?

oh thats right someone completely different.

argue all you want. coles and driver are almost identical as players. deceptively quick, good routes, great hands, and tough after the catch.

jennings is a different reciever than cotchery. jennings is the shit i wont debate that. but cotchery is easily worth mentioning in top number 2 WR's in the league. the thing about him is hes only started two years. rode the bench under herm edwards. so you can plead the same "he has a short body of work but wait and see" argument you pleade for jennings.

im not calling the jets WR's better im saying their similar and the talent level is a wash. coles and cotchery put up numbers and made plays with the likes of pennington and a shoddy o line. with brett favre they can only get better.

plain and simple. your qb is still unproven, so flail around the number 2 passing ranking while your at it since it doesnt mean shit now.

1st off the Pats didn't bring any of those player in to start, they were either here already or brought in for depth and situational play. Seau isn't even on the team any more, he was replaced by a 1st round draft choice, you know one of thoses rare top 10 picks that don't need 3 years to learn how to play like most of the Jets picks.

    He's right guys.

David Harris, Darrelle Revis, Nick Mangold... Oh my! They haven't shown anything yet! Not to mention Kerry Rhodes as a 4th round pick, Leon Washington made an impact right away, who the hell is this guy?

Oh, and since Mayo hasn't played a down in the NFL yet, we can play that game too! Dustin Keller is going to be a beast.

Wow it is so clear how scared this Grogan character is of the Jets this year. I understand, they do look to be a much improved team while the Pats are clearly going down hill and fast.

You're right and you didn't bring in anybody to replace them either. Face it, you are just old. Damn old. As far as your comments about Richardson go, he was opening holes for Adrian Peterson last year and before that he made a career of doing it for Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson. We'll take him for as long as he can last.

Some statiscial evidence to support the oldness of the Patriots defense:

Average age of the 5 players with the most tackles on the Patriots last year: (Harrison, Vrabel, Seau, Bruschi, A. Thomas, Sanders) 32.4. The average age of the top five for the Jets (Harris, Revis, K. Coleman, Barton, Rhodes): 26.4. That's six years on average younger for the Jets top producing defenders.

Tell me this, is it the "reading" or "understanding" the hard part for Jet fans?

The Patsies ARE old..and slow. Bruschi is NOT getting off blocks...Seymour is injured every year...Heck even the golden boy has missed the entire preseason due to injury. Their best receiver? Over 30.

What does he have to be scared of? The Jets are nothing but a 4-12 team and the Pats are undefeated champions.
