Have they made faster wheelchairs so he can keep up? Didn't we get tired enough of his act the first time around?

I would tend to think this one really is a ploy.

"Ty Law, who is still a free agent, remains the top option for teams looking for cornerback help. Law visited with the Jets and has spoken with both Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Browns coach Romeo Crennel. "I'm just training and getting ready to go," Law said. "I should be out there holding it down opening week. I have not decided which team I'm going to play with yet. I have to talk to my agent and family, and will make a decision soon."

If he can play nickel DB i don't care.

I don't like the fact that he thinks he's starting week 1. If Lowery beats him out, he's #3.

Barrett took a pay cut, so maybe the room is there now. I wouldn't love this signing, but it is an extra DB.

well you cant argue that Law couldnt be a great tutor for Lowery and even for Revis.... Besides i enjoyed having Law here, 10 interceptions in one season is something I personally never saw before, and even though he was penalized numerous times, I still was glad he was a Jet...

I agree. I'm always disgusted by 10 interception seasons.

He acts like he is a hot commodity...

"I haven't decided which team I am going to play with yet"

Like all teams are standing by the phone awaiting his response. He is trying to drum up the price by saying such things.

it looks like Justin Miller is hurt so we have to weigh our options and ask ourselves is Ahmad Carroll better than Ty Law...

Law's 10-INT season for NY in 2005 was vastly inferior to Nnamdi Asomugha's 1-INT season for Oakland in 2007.
Asomugha only saw 34 passes come his way last year in 15 games. Certainly some of that is due to spotty play by the other Raiders CBs and some is due to the Raiders run defense.
Law saw a lot of passes in 2005 because he generally was not very good.

As much as that argument will warm Jeaux's heart, we're comparing Law to Eric Smith and Abram Elam, not Nnamdi Asomugha. In fact, the only corner in the league that I can think of that compares to Asomugha is Champ Bailey.

Lowery will start, Carroll can play ST and returns kicks. I will take Carroll over Law.

Ty Law is the slowest corner in the league. I'll take Carroll over him as well.

Bailey did not have a vintage season in 2007. He had some sort of thigh injury that seemed to affect him all year. He was quite average, actually, and got burned quite a bit. I expect him to play much better in 2008.

Ronde Barber, Fred Smoot, Deshea Townsend, Antonio Cromartie, Charles Tillman, Eric Wright, Brandon McDonald, Daven Holly, Rod Hood, Shawn Springs, and Marcus Trufant all had impressive individual seasons from the CB position in 2007.

You know they compare Lowery to Rod Hood. Not a bad comparison.

Law has been one of the best in the league throughout his career, why not pick him up? I'll take him for a 1 year deal.

If he wants to play safety, I am all for it. If he wants to play DB, he can go play with the other old geazers in New England.
