Is Barrett done? <I think yes>
Assuming Clowney is alright, who are the 5 WRs? <Coles, Cotch, Smith, Clowney, Wright>
Can Pociask and Dearth make the team?

Amy other opinions on other positions?

Wright and Smith are gunners on special teams and both make big plays there. Coles and Cotch are locks so that leaves 1 maybe 2 more WRs. I think Stuckey and Clowney have shown enough so far in camp and the 2 preseason games to make their case for the team. The problem here is Henry who is the tall WR the FO brought in for the red zone. Maybe he goes on the practice squad this year and we try him again next year.

I hope one of the guys on the bubble is Barrett. He gives a 15 yard cusion on every play. The guy is just awful.

    Barrett is better than Miller.

5 WRs? I think 6 might make the team. Cotchery, Coles, Smith, Wright, Henry, and Clowney or Stuckey. I'd prefer Clowney.

Dearth has to make the team. Long snapping is an important talent. If anyone doesn't think so, then see how the 2002 Giants and 2006 Cowboys seasons ended (bad snaps on FG tries).

Saying Barrett is better than Miller is like saying a fart smells better than crap.

At this point I'll take Poteat and Lowery over both of them.

Barrett and Miller are both on the line.

I have to think Clemens opportunity to be anything more than a 3rd string QB is also on the line.

I don't think Nuge is in any danger just yet.

If Clowney's injury isn't serious, I think he's making the team over Wright. Wright always slips when he tries to juke a defender. ALWAYS. Fast as hell and good hands, but you just can't do that. Our WR corps should be:

    Coles
    Cotchery
    Smith
Clowney (or if on IR/PUP, Wright)
    Stuckey
    Henry

Granted they were 2nd and 3rd string corners, but Henry was bossing these guys around, being physical as hell last night. He was open on almost every play but didn't get many looks spare for that quick route where he carried a corner for good yardage in the red zone at the end of the 2 minute drill. The last 3 WRs will probably not be in any particular order, though I'd expect Clowney to get some time in the slot should he be alright.

Miller should be on the bubble but you know he isn't.
Barrett should be on the bubble but you know he isn't.

Pociask is making a strong argument to be a ST player and situational blocker, but I don't see room on the roster for him with Baker, Keller, Franks and Richardson. I think that Jehuu Caulcrick will be sent to the PS and will be learning from Richardson since he's more of a ball carrier than a lead blocker at the moment.

Ihedigbo, after his theatrics last night (getting a pick then getting greedy and costing the team a touchdown) is probably on the bubble as well.

I think Miller's in more trouble than Barrett- Barrett, Coleman and Poteat are being worked in on the nickel and dime packages, and there are other guys who can return kicks, so Miller better watch his back.

Even with Barrett's reduced salary, I'd say he's still at risk of being cut. He's well down on the CB depth chart.

I've got to say Miller is at risk. His CB play has NEVER improved. And now that Leon and Lowery have shown some talent at returns, Miller might not have a role on this team.

Strong play by Kenwin Cummings means Matt Chatham doesn't make the roster.

I'd say Marcus Henry over Wallace Wright. Henry is a much better receiver with size and great hands.

Montgomery, Turner and Hunter make the roster and Garner & Bender go to the PS.

What about Pociask over Franks? Franks is old, dropped a pass and I haven't seen him have an impact blocking. Will his ties to Brett be a factor?

I also think Cummings is pushing Chatham off the roster.

No way Wallace Wright gets cut. He gets picked up the second his name hits the waiver wire. Guys like him are required for special teams. He can have two cinder blocks on his hands and will still be on this team as a WR, just for his special teams skills. He was there on every coverage play........

I think Cummings is pushing someone for a spot. Sure he is going against the 2nd team but a playmaker is a playmaker, you do not teach that. I think Chatham is on the bubble.

I can not honestly say whether it is Miller or Barret on the bubble with more risk of getting cut. I will defer to other useful attributes and again Miller is the resounding winner there because of his use on special teams. I would imagine all things being equal, Barrett would have the most to worry about.

Nugent should be afraid, very afraid. If I was Mangini/Tannenbaum my roladex would be open to Jay Feely's agent as we speak.

Chansi Stuckey anyone? I did not watch the 4th quarter but where in the world was he? Did I miss an injury or something? Not that he is on the bubble or anything.

All other things being equal, I would absolutely go with Pociask over Franks. But Franks and Favre being old teammates, I think he would be hard to get rid of Bubba. If nothing else Franks can translate the old GB plays to Jets terminology for Brett. So in that sense I think his roster spot is secure. But Bubba's play of late (and moderately high salary) do not warrant being on the team.

I don't understand how people can say Barret or Miller are on the bubble? They are the two guys fighting for the 2nd CB spot. Whoever loses will be the first backup for that position right?

We had 5 CB's on the roster last year. These are probably the guys with a realistic shot of making the roster this year:
    Revis
    Miller
    Barret
    Lowrey
    Poteat
    D. Coleman

Maybe they'll keep 6? I just don't see how you can go from competing for the 2nd CB spot to being cut. I don't know who from that list you cut though.
