8 Tackles, 1 Int. Say what you must about Lowery. I will kick it off. SJSU Alum ( nuff said ) ok, in all seriousness, the guy is a complete ballhawk and continues his rampage of picking the ball off. I am not at all surprised that he is doing so well in camp, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he starts by week 6. What say you?
I know I sound like an optimistic, wide-eyed retard....but i'm on the bandwagon.....that kid has skills. i think we struck gold again in the 4th round, people.
if everyone else saw him play in college, they would be on the wide-eyed retarded bandwagon too. He's the real deal..
A bit early, but considering how thin we are at DB - Eric Smith is starting for us!?!? Hank Poteat is our Nickelback? - lets hope he's the real deal.
I saw him play when I was at Fresno...and as much as I've bashed you and San Jose State, I've said nothing but good things about Dwight Lowery. He's a baller.
Lowery was right in saying he doesn't play to his "slow" 40 time. The kid has amazing instincts, has great quickness, and loves to play football. If he can continue to make plays like that, and show he can cover guys, I have no problem letting him take the #2 spot next to Revis. And he can return punts.
I liked what I saw from him last night but I do have a concern. He's awfully short for a d-back - can the kid get up?
He's not short...he's almost 6 feet tall. Lowery's probably around the same size as Revis. But to answer your question: He's got ups.
8 tackles, 1 INT AND a punt return touchdown. What's the big problem with Lowery? It's his speed right? 4.5+ 40, right? Anybody else think the kid looked fast last night? Like NFL fast, not just college fast? 40 speed and Pads speed are two different things. This kid starts before Week 6. From now on, I want the front office to trade down from the first round for a dozen 4th round picks. Cheaper, better players. WE OWN THE FOURTH!
I saw him play two games against Stanford while he was at SJSU. He dominated Stanford in the first of the two, leading San Jose to an upset with a crucial pickoff of Trent Edwards. I can only hope to see that INT again and again and again now that they're in the same division. I completely forgot the name until we drafted him then went back and said "Is that the same guy? It is? Hell yeah!"
Yeah, I just watched the Highlights from The Lowery/Clowney Show from last night. I know it's early, but Lowery looks like something special.
I was surprised how much I was pulling for Lowrey when he caught that lousy pass from Dorsey, and ran back that punt. I want him to succeed big time. The first step is to take advantage of what they give you, and that INT was a gift from the Browns. Some DBs we've had in the past would have tied themselves up and then dropped that ball. He didn't look like a plate of molasses on that run back either. These are things that hopefully will give him enough confidence to play cocky with the big boys, too.
