When you weren't, we didn't. Haters will point to any other reason they can come up with but you were the difference. Your effort for the Jets has been unmatched in my memory. Hope this works out to be a blessing in disguise for you. Always be a fan.
The only way that happens is if they meet in the Super Bowl. The Packers aren't scheduled to play the Jets again until the year 2014.
Thanks Chad for having a great 2002 that gave us all alot of hope. Thats pretty much all I can thank him for. After that it's injury, bad contract, more injury, somehow staying with the team, and then just looking mediocre at best when he was actually on the field. Nice guy and everyone and their mother should have his work ethic...that plus the really exciting times he did give us earns him a nice little spot somewhere.
Chad Pennington is a class act! Thanks for the 8 years Chad and all the great memories! 2002 was an amazing season! AFC EAST Champs thanks mostly to you. Had he not been plauged by the wrist injury and then the Shoulder twice, who knows how great Chad may have been? Even with the injurys he still played good and gave this team a chance to win. He was the first QB in my lifetime to be drafted by the Jets and go on to be a success, the last Jet QB to do that was Ken O'brien. Thanks again Chad! You will ALWAYS be a JET!!!!

Really? They had it on the ESPN crawl all night that we wouldn't play them until 2014 (it didn't specify location at all). Good old ESPN, I have to learn one of these days.
Unless the NFL changed their scheduling process. But we played them in 2006, and should play them again 4 years later in 2010. But we don't play them in Green Bay again until 2014. Maybe that's what they meant I'm not sure.
Chad, Thanks for having heart and for being the biggest Jets cheerleader. I was there at the draft when you were picked and I went straight outside to Cosbys and ordered my authentic Pennington Jersey before the day was done. You'll always be a favorite...to bad you had a shitty line in front of you for quite some time. Thank you for an awesome 2002 season. I'll always remember doing my chant in section 329 "I'm So Glad, We've Got Chad"... Good luck where ever you land. And maybe come back as a QB coach someday.
I'm sitting here getting ready to watch the game. I have my Toon jersey on, I'm sipping a Heineken and I haven't been this excited about a Jet season since I don't know when. But I got to say, the one downer about today is that it's Chad's last day as a Jet. Chad is all class, all hustle and the best leader there is. He was a role model for my sons and in this day and age that is not an easy thing to find. Thanks Chad for 2002 and thanks for the memories. Good luck. I will always be glad you were a Jet.
