Holy fucking shit! I just read through the whole thread. I couldn't be happier. This is a great deal for the Jets. Even if he doesn't work out, we only give up a second day pick. On top of that, Favre's always been one of my favorite non-Jets. This instantly legitimizes this whole offseason. Let's pray that pick upgrades to a first rounder.

Friends hubby went to Vegas a few weeks ago, asked if I wanted a bet placed on the Jets, I waffled but said what the hell I waste more money drinking. I totally forgot about getting the ticket from him, called thankfully he has it. Not sure what the odds were I think they were something like 100-1
I just joined your forum since the Jets just became my second favourite team (behind the Pack). I am an Aussie that lives in Germany, so that will explain a lot! To all the Gang Green fans, I am stoked at how you perceive this Brett Favre addition. No need to tell you, the fans in GB miss him already. But, a lot of sheit hit the fan between him and the front office. This is the best possible outcome. I am stoked that he is being so warmly welcomed. And Tee (see page 16 of this thread), good riddance. I don't care if you are a shareholder. You don't deserve to sweep Lambeau's snow.
First of all I am not a Jets fan, BUT......I am happy for the Jets to get a GREAT!! QB. Green Bay dont deserve Bret for the way he was welcomed but not welcomed. I look forward to the JETS to really make the Packers pay for letting him go. So I wish the JETS all the luck in the world and I also this is the final piece to take down the pats and colts. Look forward to seeing the Jets in Tampa.

There's excitement in the air man. Forget those darksiders and nay-sayers. On my 4-minute walk (and back) to the deli near my office for lunch, I got 4 cars beeping the horn at me cause I'm rocking my Vilma jersey, screaming "J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!" Another person screams out, "LET'S GO JETS!!! THIS IS OUR YEAR BABY!!!" I yell back, "YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT BRODDA!" Not to mention I run into 2 dudes inside the deli talking to me abt tonight's game. This is a very awesome feeling. A proud feeling. I hope the team matches our expectations this year. Super Bowl bound. Just thought I'd share this. I have never gotten this sort of response from Jets fans (especially in my area) in the 8 years I've worked around here. I could only imagine how excited others are taking this news out there.
I am glad to be here as a Brett Favre fan and former Packer fan. I am beyond upset at what happened in Green Bay and excited to see Favre as a Jet. I have watched Thomas Jones for years and thought he dragged the Bears to the Super Bowl on his back. I was hopeful that you would do a lot better last season, but anyway. Now, that Favre is here all I can say is... J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!
