I betcha the Jets will finally get on the new NBC Sunday Night Football package this year. NBC'll flex to a Jets game late in the year, probably the Denver or Seattle game.

At least Mangini and Tannenbaum realize that Clemens is clearly not good enough to help the Jets win now There are few players I dislike more than Favre but I'll warm up to him if he wins games. If he plays like he did in 05 and 06, this trade will be a colossal failure. I hope Chad goes to the Vikings or Bears and takes them to the playoffs too. He's still my favorite player.
I'll write up a separate post later, because my thoughts are just guzzling, but these are salient points: - Do not be results-oriented. This is a calculated risk, and Jets fans need to understand that it does not mean it was a mistake if it doesn't work out. - Contrary to the faulty premise that the Jets are rebuilding, the Jenkins, Faneca, Pace and Woody additions (Jenkins and Faneca because both are slightly past their primes, Pace and Woody because both were somewhat overpaid) indicated that this team is in win-now mode. - Chad Pennington deserves nothing but praise and warm wishes from Jets fans. He was a great quarterback who had to undergo two shoulder surgeries and still managed to be competent. - If it doesn't work out, we're in the same position as we would have been anyway, minus a mid-round pick and plus a lot of fluffy Sportscenter coverage.
Excellent post Chad deserves a solid send-off. I still don't think the future QB of this team is on this roster but Favre buys the team some time.
