The problem with that is that why would Favre want to go to clubs such as those with no playoff hopes at all. He's only in this for a year or two max and the Dolphins are not going to be seriously competitive in that time. Redskins maybe, but doubtful given the conference they play in and the who they have as HC.

Angry Puppy said he wasn't going to do more than 15 minutes on Favre, bashing that hot-ass Wendy Nix's reports and ESPN for the all-day/everyday press and coverage.
    (He's over an hour in...)

Making the playoffs had more to do w/ how awful their division was and how bad the conference was. Remmeber bwhen they came in heer 12-3 needing a win for the NFC's top seed in 2002? I know Chad isn't 2002 Chad but that was a much younger Favre, a week later he would lead his team to a loss at home to Atlanta in the WC rd. 2 years later it was 8-8 Minneosota at home and last year he threw away that NFC Championship Game.

Just 2 years ago Chad led a rout in GB against favre and the Packers and in 2 games agaisnt favre the Jets have scored 80 points while GB has scored 27. W/ a much better Ol and a ground game controlling things this year i have confidence Chad can get us back to the playoffs for alot less than it would cost to get Favre. Whatever happens I just hope at the end of the year we look back and say the FO made the right decision.

don't get too excited...a source told the GB Gazette that Simms could be a player going back to GB as part of the deal.

I do not really want Favre here. But on the bright side at least we will get some game coverage this year for once and John Madden will be creaming over our team and Favre all year lol.

How many of these games has he lost all by himself? Brett is/was a HOF QB, but I remember watching Marino go thru the same shit. Constant picks to kill drives and end the game. Favre can't win the big games anymore, reguardless of arm strength or past accomplishments.

What I'll love about this the most? The amalignation of Brett Favre and the New York Jets: Two things that Mike Florio of Profootballtalk loves to rant about.
Even better? If we shut up the Patriots+PFT in Week 2 and beat them.

Seems logical. They need something in case Rodgers goes down, mostly to quiet all of the stockholders who were pleading for Brett.

I guess Pennington is the better alternative for winning those "big games" you speak of.....thanks for coming out.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette, quoting a source close to the situation, is reporting a "bidding war" is going on between the Jets and Bucs to obtain Favre.
