I have no problem with it - I don't view him as a 1-inning-only guy.

Me either, but with him being unavailable the last 2 days because he pitched 3 on saturday I didn't think they'd stretch him out for 2 again especially with the insurance runs.

    Looked pretty dominant there though.

Worked out well - as you say, he looked great, and he gets some more work in multi-inning outings.

More lunacy from Keith. "It seems like whenever Jose has a big game the Mets win." Reyes has 3 hits, and the only inning in which he got a hit that the Mets scored was the 1st, when his baserunning blunder cost them a run.

Have you ever heard of a coincidence, Keith?

Keith has been having an off night. I recall him saying something early in the game about last nights game being the most exciting 3 hour + game he's ever broadcasted since he usually gets so bored, but last night was so great.

Put it in the books. Nice bounce-back win.

    dominant 9th from wagner

not sure what to make of the maine news though. he's obviously not been right for awhile but it doesn't sound like they're going to shut him down either.

Looks like Pelfrey doesn't have it today.

So, if Manny is playing LF for the Marlins on Friday, does that make them the favorites in the NL East?

i still say the marlins stink. the nl east is a little better then the west last year so i can't see the marlins dbacking it into the playoffs.

i just noticed the nats are playing loduca at 1b tonight. i guess things could be worse then marlon anderson, argenis reyes and brian schneider all in the same lineup.

"That was a fine throw .. a little off .. by Tatis. I'm sorry, Marlon Anderson." Ah, Keith, you're really having a rough series.

This is an interesting comment, considering that they have 3 of the Mets' 5 hits.
