I disagree, but I respect your opinion. Favre had a few lean years, but Driver is a great wideout.

That you like a quick exit from the playoffs? Who, other than the 2000 Ravens, won with this formula?

They've done roughly the same thing the Jets have done, reach the playoffs a few times and lose. In their case they lost because Favre threw bonehead picks with the season on the line.

You guys can laugh, but I will guarantee it right now---if Favre comes here he won't come close to what Vinny did here in 1998. Mark it down, put it in your sig if you want to. And we gave up nothing to get Vinny, he was brought here as a backup. I would love more than anything to be wrong about this, but I don't see it happening.

I said it in another thread. Chad getting hurt cause of the O-Line..
And I love all the Clemens Bandwagoners who are bailing after 1 year just to get Favre..
    Wow.

Why can't people root for the team anymore? It's almost as if they rather someone fail so they can be right.

I don't understand what you are even saying. Are you somehow comparing Penny to Favre?

I'm honestly sick of that excuse. Eat the ball. Take the sack. Or FFS throw it out of bounds.

Someone said it doesn't hurt to let Clemens sit for a few more years....

Chad sat for four years, did it really further his career?

You're kidding right? Sitting behind Vinny is half the reason Chad was so good in 2002. Injuries killed his career, not sitting on the bench.

Wait, what? Chad Pennington was arguably the best quarterback in the league in 2002. Do you realize how incoherent the argument you're trying to make is?

    HUH?

Chad sat 2 1/4 seasons...... and he came out looking like a VERY GOOD QB (remember the '02 run?) ....... then the injuries began to compile...... the end. :shit:

    Cool.

You messed up the quote thing, though.

Just make sure you leave it there if I'm right, but here's hoping I'm wrong--it's happened before.

If bringing in a tough as nails bone head with an NFL arm doesn't work out we can always draft a cerebral, injury prone QB with no arm with our first next year.

My point is, sitting a guy is not always the best move. It may not have mattered with Pennington.

But of course we will never know.

Where would Eli be right now if he just got off of the bench?
